cost of ease our voice matters
We are existing in a world where almost everything can be created within a blink of an eye: images, words, buildings are also designed with the help of artificial intelligence. These are things that take days, months and years for humans to actualise but are being created or developed within a minute. Now comes the big question: are we trading away human creativity for the comfort of ease? Must things? I think that intelligent tools are trying to take over human creativity.
When it comes to creativity, we always think it is all about the final product, but it is also the struggle, the process, and the failed attempts that lead to success. For instance, when an architect is designing for months and the end result is nothing to write home about, the architect tries again until he achieves a meaningful design. Now that technology is almost doing everything for man, we don’t struggle again to brainstorm and be creative.

I was discussing with my friends last week how technology is taking over from humans because artificial intelligence can now create. Currently now humans are slow when it comes to creativity because AI is doing everything for us. Many times I ask myself that if technology can design logos and write projects for us, why will humans spend years learning to do it themselves? With the way things are going, in due time the desire to practise with equipment will die off and people will no longer think deep because AI is handling everything for them. One thing about our brain is if we don’t keep it busy, there is a probability that it will weaken.
I will not say that these tools are enemies to creativity; rather, they are tools. What matters is how we choose to use them. When we accept technology to do all the thinking for us, that means we don’t want to be creative. The funny thing is we accept the outcome without questioning, and our voices are not heard. Currently we prefer technology doing everything for us; we are now more of consumers than creators.
The need for all these technology tools is to help man and not to stop man from being creative. You can brainstorm with artificial intelligence and draft it your own way. Technology should not be a replacement but rather a help. We need to be creative and not depend totally on technology doing everything for us; we can use it to add to our voice and get points from it.

There is value in learning skills. We learn from our mistakes and become better. Being creative helps us to explore ideas and research more. Those experiences help to shape our creativity.
You need it in advance when it comes to creativity so that it will not be all about producing from scratch, but rather how we think and connect to ideas. Our voice matters and can’t be measured with technology tools.
This is my entry on the weekly prompts #hivelearners #hl-w126e1 topic, the cost of ease.
