Cine TV Contest #38 - Favorite Movie Vehicle

avatar

Hello CineTV

Hello all! I want to thank you all for participating in our previous contest. Politics isn't always easy to write about but I think through the lens of a movie, it makes it a bit easier. With so many great choices it was hard to choose a winner but in the end there can only be three at the top. So let's get to the results!

First Place

Our first place winner in this contest is @ksmith7 with their submission about Clear and Present Danger found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@ksmith7/cinetv-contest-clear-and-present-danger-peligro-inminente-1994-eng-esp

I really appreciated this entry as it resonated with my view on the nature of politics and this selection is a strong choice. I love the Jack Ryan series and this is a good one! Thank you for sticking to the theme even though it's a tough one. Congrats!

Second place

The second place finisher was @yoselin5h with a review of Our Brand Is Crisis found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@yoselin5h/cinetv-contest-our-brand-is

I very much appreciated your review in that you engaged the topic and gave your personal thoughts. This seems like an interesting movie and I am glad that it broke you through your dislike of political films. Thank you!

Third place

In third place we have @eve66 with their choice of Conspiracy here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@eve66/cinetv-contest-conspiracy-2001-or-la-solucion-final-eng-esp

I found this to be a very interesting choice and highlighted a real event and describes a political meeting with horrific decisions. I love historical movies and this is one that I have never seen. Thank you and congrats!

Congrats!

225 CINE COINS and 100 Ecency Points will be transferred to the winners.

Now if anyone disagrees with our choices then please tag us in a comment on this post!

And let's move on to the new contest!

Favorite Movie Vehicle

Write about your favorite movie vehicle.

On to our next contest! Thank you to @ecency for sponsoring our Cine TV contests! Check them out at ecency.com. 🙂

Sometimes, I try to pick a contest that relates to something in my own life.
This one is no different, I spent my previous weekend with my best friend and much to my surprise, a large portion of our Saturday was spent at the dealership while he bought a new truck. As a good friend, I drove him there and waited for many hours for him to get all of the details squared away. After it was all said and done, he drove home in an almost new truck. A very nice vehicle indeed.

This outing got me thinking a lot about how important vehicles are and it lead to this week's contest, your favorite movie vehicle. We are limiting this contest to movies only as this could be a separate contest with tv shows.

So for this contest I want you to pick a movie with a prominent vehicle or vehicles and tell me why this vehicle stood out to you. What about the vehicle makes it special? How did it add to the film or films? Was there a specific scene that made it so important? Have you ever seen this vehicle in real life or something like it? How much would you pay for it?

As per usual, make this a personal review and don't just recite the plot to a movie. Be creative and I look forward to reading your selections. Good luck!

Please check out the list of rules and suggestions below or feel free to ask me in the Discord channel if you have any questions (caulderfreeman). Enjoy this week's contest and good luck!

Wow! what a pleasant surprise to have been selected as one of the winners of this fabulous contest.

I was really inspired by writing about "Peligro Inminente", a great movie from my favorite decade. The cast and the script give a good base to develop the theme of the contest and I'm very happy for the result.

It's an honor to continue writing in this @CineTV community and I'm already looking forward to the next topic, to share it with you.

Thank you very much friends

Congratulations to the winners.

Thank you, @cinetv

For this contest, I won't be participating, as the only vehicle that comes to mind is the truck from Jeepers Creepers I, which was adapted to transport dead bodies.

I love the Horror genre, and it is one of my favorite movies.
