Hello CineTV

March Madness is here! The first few rounds of the NCAA Tournament are over and the Sweet Sixteen starts this next weekend. There were amazing shots, epic fails and astouding comebacks ove the past week. If you haven't seen the NCAA Tournament, I highly recommend it!

While I understand that basketball may not be popular the world over, I would hope that you could find a movie to write either about basketball or with a basketball star. Thank you to everyone that participated!

Let's get to this week's winners:

First Place

The first place finisher was @irenenavarroart with a review of Blue Chips found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@irenenavarroart/cinetv-contest-blue-chips-a

What a great choice! I hadn't even thought of Blue Chips when I created the contest but it is such a solid choice. Shaq is a legend and this was a really good film. Thanks!

Second place

In second place we have @nbarrios67 with their choice of highlighting Kareem Abdul Jabbar here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@nbarrios67/cinetv-contest-52-kareen-abdul-jabbar-in-some-films

Kareem was such an icon when I was growing up. An awesome basketball player that was a part of the Showtime in Los Angeles and was in proximity to the movie industry. I loved his martial arts appearance and that he could even do comedy! Great choice!

Third place

Our third place winner in this contest is @neiraurdaneta with their choice of Glory Road and can be found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@neiraurdaneta/cinetv-contest-52-glory-road

I may have seen this previously but I don't remember it. I appreciated your choice and your review. Hard to believe that there was a time when certain people weren't allowed to play basketball. Thanks for your choice and congrats!

Congrats!

225 CINE COINS and 100 Ecency Points will be transferred to the winners.

Now if anyone disagrees with our choices then please tag us in a comment on this post!

And let's move on to the new contest!

Movie That Represents Spring

On to our next contest! Thank you to @ecency for sponsoring our Cine TV contests! Check them out at ecency.com. 🙂

Spring is in the air. I have a head cold to prove it! I'm not sure if it's the changing weather or just kids bringing sickness home from school. Either way I am welcoming back Spring and the warmer weather. Secretly, I can't wait to get back on the golf course!

For this contest I am asking you to pick a movie that you relate to Spring. This is one of those contests that I am giving you a lot of leniency in what you choose but you have to supply the rationale as to how it relates to the topic. So make sure to give an explanation on how your choice represents Spring and what it means to you. I am looking for creativity and originality. These are required for curation and to be considered for the contest.

I look forward to reading your selections. Have a great week!

Please check out the list of rules and suggestions below or feel free to ask me in the Discord channel if you have any questions (caulderfreeman). Enjoy this week's contest and good luck!
