The Best of the Beanies, in no particular order - they were all so good!

Blind Dates, what about them? by @germanandradeg

Charles was nervous. It was the first time he had been on a blind date with someone he had never met. His friend Luis had told him about a woman named Emily, who was smart, funny and very pretty. He had shown him a picture of her on his cell phone and told him she was perfect for him. Charles, who had been single for two years after divorcing his wife...

It's not what they say, it's how they say it by @actioncats

In one way or another I have learned that we can avoid misunderstandings, falling badly and being perceived as unpleasant and hateful people, if we say things in a correct, polite, pleasant, prudent or tactful way, in fact in my country there is a phrase that is used a lot and it is "it is not what you say, it is how you say it" and it is something totally true.

The Karen Coffee Curse by @riverflows

I didn't mean to queue jump. I didn't see that the line stretched to the right of the store behind the sweets aisle where colourful packets of sweets tempt young children. I was thinking of getting out of the city as soon as I could fuel my blood with caffeine - it had been a hot and sleepless night.

Hopefully it will work by @verdesmeralda

It all started that Sunday on my shift at the bakery, even though I only do that job one day a week, it's enough to make it my least favorite day of the seven. Still, I try to keep a good attitude despite the manager's inconsistencies. She says I'm not supposed to eat while I'm working, but despite that, a hot cup of coffee and a couple of slices of toast with cheese...

THE MOCCASIN by @irvinc

Recently my son came to visit the city, we had not seen each other for a long time, since he went to another country for work. In his new place they are very demanding, he is responsible for several production processes and is in charge of a staff of about fifty workers. That is why it is difficult for him to organize his schedule to take one or two weeks of vacation a year.

How it all happened… by @ibbtammy

Just like every other Saturday I and Jason headed to the mall, we had to get groceries for the house. Going through the various aisles and seeing so many things I wanted but couldn’t get because we were on a budget broke my heart...

Coffee and good people. by @aly.squid

A friendly greeting dear Hivers, especially for coffee lovers. It gives me pleasure to be once again in this space. I have always thought that bonds of affection are very important for life. Those dear people who give you support and containment and to whom we offer our warmth, love and friendship...

#STB Coffee Prompt Week 62 | Taita by @rinconpoetico7

I poured myself some freshly brewed coffee, strong and piping hot just the way I like it. When I took the first sip I felt something strange, I didn't pay attention to it and continued drinking my delicious coffee, after finishing I started to prepare something for lunch, I was making soup, I took the salt shaker and all the salt was sprinkled in the preparation. I couldn't believe it...

Snitches Get Twitches by @jhymi

I didn’t know what to make of Martha’s delusional theatrics. That’s what I chose to call them. Theatrics. Not a curse. Those who believed in curses were superstitious hippies and a logical and intellectual career woman like myself couldn’t for the very life of me, indulge in superstitions.

The curse in the coffee by @jetta.amaya

Gina awoke that morning and was a bit disturbed, she had been having nightmares during the night. This did not seem strange to her, as the day before she had attended a family reunion and it had not been easy. She smiled as she brushed her teeth, remembering all the strange things her family had done at the reunion.
