It is not easy for any of us not to be a little selfish, thinking about our own comfort and that of our families, we cling to ideas and products that can cause a lot of damage to the environment. In my youth, I never thought about that, and although there was damage to the environment, it was not as serious as it is now, why? Well, I remember that in those times, there were not as many polluting products as there are now.

At home, we used natural resources for many things, we usually made our own cleaning products with some plants and my sisters and I, we washed in the river with a small soapy seed that really did an excellent job, time passed and new products arrived that made our lives easier and made our work less heavy, from soap for washing, disinfectants and other chemicals but also products for personal hygiene that I really liked a lot, for its rich aromas and its benefits.

Being a little more adult and noticing the many climatic changes and how hurt our home the earth is, I noticed the difference between how things used to be and how they are now. I lived in a time when none of this was used and not only was the planet healthier, but so were we humans. Thinking about this one can only conclude that these products that made our lives so much easier, also caused great damage to our environment and also to our own bodies.

The amount of chemicals is great and it's everywhere and I'm not going to lie, there are many of those things that we should use. But we can also look for healthier and environmentally friendly options, it's good that nowadays there are some brands that do 100% organic work and have created products for us using natural resources and not harmful chemicals. We must admit that unfortunately these products are sometimes expensive and not everyone can afford them, but in my case I have learned to make some things that have helped me.

Going through an economic crisis left us something good, during that time we learned to make deodorants and soaps with a little coconut oil and baking soda, the truth is that these products helped us in those difficult times, but now that things have improved a little, it was something that stayed with us, we know we can not do all our things because we do not know how, but having learned this, allows us not to use some of those products that cause damage to the environment.

Ideally, we should not be part of those who destroy the earth and for that we can strive to get gentler options with the environment and if we can not afford them, learn to make them ourselves, it will be the best for the earth but also for our own body.
