Cuando los hijos inician clases [Esp/Eng]

Un feliz día les deseo a todos, espero que estén bien, de seguro muchos de ustedes están comenzando una nueva rutina con el regreso de sus niños a clases, una etapa esencial para ellos, pero agotadora para nosotros, bueno, así lo fue para mí, quizás para ustedes es diferente, de verdad espero que sí y ya verán por qué.

Ayer mi nieto más mequeño, inició un nuevo año escolar, después de algún tiempo de clases con horarios estrictos en los que no debía ir a la escuela todos los días, ahora va a asistir a clases con un horario normal, como antes. Ver a mi hija encargarse nuevamente del regreso a clases, me recordó cuando yo misma tuve que hacerlo y lo difícil que era,
Siempre escuchaba madres decir que ya quieren que sus hijos empiezan a estudiar para no tener tantas cosas que hacer y yo no lo entendía.

Yesterday my youngest grandson, started a new school year, after some time of classes with strict schedules in which he did not have to go to school every day, now he is going to attend classes with a normal schedule, as before. Watching my daughter take charge of going back to school again, reminded me of when I had to do it myself and how difficult it was,
I always heard mothers say that they want their children to start studying so they don't have so many things to do and I didn't understand it.

La última vez que tuve que encargarme de del inicio de clase de mis hijos, fue con mis tres hijos menores los cuales entre ellos solo se llevan un año de diferencia, es decir que iban en grados seguidos, debía despertarme más temprano de lo normal, a veces a las 4 de la mañana para poder preparar la ropa de mis hijos y también su desayuno, algo que me hacía un poco más fáciles las cosas es que la escuela me quedaba muy cerca, entonces podía tener todo listo a tiempo para que mis hijos no llegaran retardados a la escuela.

Fueron varios años en los que tuve que tener esta misma rutina, además de las preocupaciones normales de una madre de que sus hijos estuvieran bien en la escuela, sin ser la burla de otros niños, como me pasó a mí en mis años escolares, durante las horas de clases yo debía ir a trabajar y volver a tiempo cuando saliera de la escuela o pedir a alguno de sus hermanos mayores (quienes son 17 y 15 años mayores) que los cuidaran mientras yo llegaba a casa.

A veces sentía que no podía más y me permitía enviarles dinero para que compraran desayuno en la cantina de la escuela y así podía dormir unos cuantos minutos más, pero sin embargo, las épocas de clases eran muy agotadoras para mi, por lo que disfrutaba cuando los niños estaban de vacaciones, pues no debía madrugar y además, podía estar pendientes de ellos y cuidarlos yo misma, lo que me dajaba mucho más tranquila.

The last time I had to take care of the start of school for my children, was with my three youngest children who are only one year apart, that is to say that they were in consecutive grades, I had to wake up earlier than usual, sometimes at 4 am to prepare my children's clothes and breakfast, something that made things a little easier is that the school was very close to me, then I could have everything ready on time so that my children would not arrive late to school.

There were several years in which I had to have this same routine, besides the normal worries of a mother that her children would be well in school, without being teased by other children, as happened to me in my school years, during school hours I had to go to work and come back on time when I got out of school or ask one of their older siblings (who are 17 and 15 years older) to take care of them while I got home.

Sometimes I felt that I couldn't take it anymore and I would send them money to buy breakfast at the school canteen so I could sleep a few more minutes, but nevertheless, school times were very tiring for me, so I enjoyed when the children were on vacation, because I didn't have to get up early and also, I could take care of them and take care of them myself, which left me much calmer.

Los inicios de clases de nuestros hijos, son como volver a ir a la escuela nosotros, entre ayudarlos con las tareas, preparar comidas y uniformes, uno hacia muchas más cosas que en vacaciones, pero también es una etapa muy bonita, en la que sabes que tus hijos están aprendiendo y creciendo correctamente y que es importante para el desarrollo del niño, pero por muy bueno que fuera, yo me alegro de que haya terminado, pues el cansancio era mi pan de cada día.

Esas madres que se alegran de que sus hijos entren a clases porque tienen tiempo libre ¿como lo hacen? Ya no necesito consejos, solo saber su secreto que es algo que me he preguntado durante todos estos años.

The beginning of school for our children is like going back to school for us, between helping them with homework, preparing meals and uniforms, one does many more things than on vacation, but it is also a very nice stage, in which you know that your children are learning and growing properly and that is important for the child's development, but as good as it was, I'm glad it's over, because the tiredness was my daily bread.

Those mothers who are glad their children are in class because they have free time, how do they do it? I don't need advice anymore, I just need to know their secret, which is something I have wondered about all these years.
