We read three literature books in our third grade. If you ask me one of the things I love doing, reading novels would take a better position. We were barely three weeks into resumption and I was through with the three literature novel

One love
One sunny afternoon in our literature class, we were reading this book "My daughter is an egg" which I've finished reading a week ago, and I was busy reading another book different from the one the class was reading (not even among the three books we were using in our class). The students passed the book
"my daughter is an egg" to the next after reading their lines and that's how it goes on and on
When it was my turn, I didn't know my line because I was busy reading another book (Guillivers travel). The teacher saw the book with me, took it away and dropped it on her desk, then I was told my line which I stood up to read and passed the book to the next person. Unknown to the teacher, I was having three copies of the book in my bag, so I picked the second one and continued from where I stopped. The class reading went round and it was my turn again and I didn't know where we are. She spot the second book and took it away wondering how many copies I have. I found my line, read and passed it on
The class was filled with laughter when I brought out the third book. She didn't understand what was going on. She looked around and caught me with the book the third time. She paused, looked at me, took the book and dropped it on top of the ones she had collected
Now, she was having the three books and I was out of books. I signalled to my best friend "Moses" sitting close to the teachers desk and he understood me instantly. He switched two of the books with another similar ones he had in his bag and passed them till it got to my sit
At this point, I wasn't keen to read anymore. I wanted to get myself into trouble or probably have fun. Everyone in the class knew what was about to happen and they were already nurturing laughter inside of them. I positioned the book so the teacher could see it and of course, she sight it and took it away. Now it's the fourth according to her counting. I read her mind from her look and knew she was ready for me
When I noticed it was my turn to read, I brought out the other book and pretended as if I was reading (fully carried away).. The student beside me tapped me and passed me the book. I still didn't know the next line. She turned and pend what she was writing on the board and saw me standing, trying to ask where we were. She moved closer and saw the same book under my locker. She didn't say a word. She took it and dropped it on her desk. Looking at me with her two hands on her waist. She didn't scold me neither did she utter a word. I knew she wanted to see who would win. I was shown my line which I read and passed the book to the next person
Moses wasn't tired of continuing with me even though he knew we might get into trouble, and the rest of the class seeing what was going on were enjoying the drama
He switched two books as he did the first time and replaced them with another book just to make her believe the books were still there and passed them to me through other students until it got to me. The cooperation was cordial
Again, I was having two books with me. When I opened the sixth one. I was waiting for her to spot it but she was busy explaining some parts of the book before students would pass it round and continue the reading. I signalled to the students and they couldn't hold their laughter. This made the teacher to look at my side and when she saw another book with me, she couldn't hold herself. She laughed and the whole class joined her
At this point, I told her what has been happening, while everyone kept laughing uncontrollabely. She checked the book and saw that Moses had replaced them with his books. She laughed harder. I explained that I've read all the three books for the term but she instructed me to still follow the class diligently and never distract myself with other things just to make sure I'm doing the right thing at the right time. She gave me back the books in her possession and we had a smooth reading section for the remaining time
Some teachers are just soft and easy. If I had tried that shit with Mr. Kasali, I'm sure I would be showing the scars he gave me from that drama

I certainly wouldn't have been a patient teacher if I had the likes of you in my class 😂😂😂...all I just needed to say was "leave my class" and your brain would be on reset ...
But notwithstanding that, the class cannot be all grimm and boring every time, there has to be room for some fun and that's what you and your partner in crime brought to the table.

That teacher was too nice. To think that you punished her that much and she still saw the fun in it. If it was my teacher, your whole family would've heard how stubborn and troublesome you are and the beating would have been double..
