There are many worshipers of Christ in the world claiming they are Christians, who are Christians? Christians are disciples, and disciples are those that follow all the teachings of Christ, and practice them as well. To be called a disciple, you need to be taught the doctrines of Christ. All the disciples of Jesus Christ were taught the ways of the Lord. They understood what and what not to do. They were lectured on the ways of the Lord to become a disciple. When Jesus Christ selected them, he taught them everything they needed to know about how to live righteously by following the rules
Matthew 28:19

You have to be baptized, and do all that Jesus commanded. Nothing must be put aside. Many people call themselves disciples of Jesus Christ, but they are not. How can you call yourself a disciple and keep aside some doctrines. You need to follow all. I've heard some people say apart from this (maybe lust), they are very okay as Christians. If you do not do what Jesus Christ instructed us to do, you are not worthy to be called a disciple of Jesus Christ
