Hive is the third most used blockchain for gaming

Gaming is a sector that always attracts many players and enthusiasts of the sector, it is worth billions of dollars and is a constantly increasing figure, having not known a crisis even during the pandemic.

The blockchain has implemented a new type of gaming in which players also take on a more active role in the economic management of the game, obtaining tokens or NFTs as rewards for achieving various objectives. From sources Dappradar I learn that Hive is currently the third blockchain by number of active players, preceded by Polygon and Wax.io

In March, the increase in user activity on Polygon led the network to become the second largest blockchain gaming network in terms of unique active wallets (UAWs), thanks to the RPG game Hunters On-Chain, which registered an increase of over 17,000% in the last 30 days alone, probably also due to a sale of NFTs at the very end of March.

However, it is impressive that HIVE is the third largest blockchain by number of active and unique players in the gaming sector, ahead even of BNB Chain. Compared to other blockchains, Hive has a much smaller user base but it is clear that it arouses a lot of interest from users. An excellent starting point, with a flagship game like Splinterlands that is currently experiencing great interest related to the launch of Land 1.0 and it will indeed be interesting to observe the data of the past week, with a huge interest from the community for the land surveys.

Hive proves to be resilient and has excellent growth potential. A game with a similar pool of interest and Splinterlands would be enough to attack the first position (waiting for Ragnarok). I am very excited about the future of Hive, it is a multifaceted blockchain and lends itself to any use, hence its malleability. There are many reasons to be confident about Hive's future.

Free transactions with no gas fees make Hive a good choice. That and an in-built community.

That's quite impresive and if I would start a game (a thing I've been contemplating about), it would surely be on Hive. With the strong user base from here you simply have a low user acquisition cost and you can build organically from there, both in the game, but also around it through content creation and other perks.

Being ranked higher than BNB on anything is significant... but yes, I have always believed that gaming is a great niche for Hive... and this just confirms it.
