[Week 131] Weekend quality. Searching for a new friend

Hello everyone it's a pleasure for me to make my first entry here. I find this topic of a friend so interesting as if forms an integral part of our existence. It is easy for some people to make friends or get good friend based on our personalities and what we seek to achieve. I have had my own share of this friendship delima and so it super important to get that friend who will be with me through every step of my life. My friend can be a family, any man or woman in the world as long as we flow smoothly. That friend of should be;

QUALITIES OF MY NEW FRIEND AND REASONS

Truth to thyself
This is an important quality I will like to see my friend have. A truthful friend is like a transparent paper which I can see through. My friend should be reflect his or her true nature just like when I look in the mirror. It hurts so to have a friend whom you can't trust leading to a big gap between you two. A truthful friend will tell me my faults and won't let me go the wrong way. Sometimes the people I call friends don't seem to be as they are just there to mislead you or add fuel to my faults. Now I need that friend who looks at me straight into my eyes and say "Clautilda you are wrong or right". This will help me positively in my growth and development process.

Supportive and kind

Do you have friends that support and encourage you? I really need such a friend. In the past I have had friends who only want to be with me for the good moments but disappear when I face challenges. They will not even ask about my projects or give a positive idea when I tell them about my plans. Sometimes I realised that they would try to discourage me not to do what I wanted to do. I can remember when I finished secondary school and was to enroll into an agricultural professional school but my friends laughed and made fun of me. Some said why would I leave the accounting I did to go farming? I was so disturbed but didn't listen to them and today I am a successful agricultural engineering and doc which most of them admire. A good friend should support my dreams and help me achieve it. My friend too needs to be kind because if you're not kind you won't see the good in what I do to support

Patient and understanding
The worst thing to have is an impatient friend. I know I have so many set backs which makes me imperfect so I will like my friend to be friend to be patient and understanding. It is not easy dealing with people as we all come from different homes and background so the base of my friendship should be layed on understanding. With a patient and understanding friend the rest of the qualities will follow suit.

Loving and caring
I bring this as the last quality for me because this is the central bond for every friendship. My grandpa used to tell me to cherish and care for the people around me especially those who are my friends and family. I developed these qualities so having a friend who share the same idea will be a sweet and perfect match for us.

In life I have made so many friends physically and virtually who posses these qualities and we have helped each other grow. Sometimes when I take a look at my friends most of them are older than me and sometimes male. I do cherish my friends and so I expect the same treatment from any friend I make.

Having a true friend is like having a precious jewel or diamond which I must keep jealously
