This is for my Future Financial Freedom

Out of six prompts given at the Week 143 of Weekend-Engagement, I choose this one:

What concerns do you have for your personal future? They could be financial, relationships, emotional, physical or anything else about your own personal future. How are you addressing those concerns and how do you see it playing out? Write a post of at least 300 words.

At an early age, I already felt the difficulty of struggling financially. We didn't have enough money, and it was hard because I felt deprived of my basic needs and the right to live comfortably. In the present time, I can say that we're far from that situation. Thanks to the hard work of my parents, we can finally enjoy the things we never thought we would have back then.

Looking back at our old situation, I have gained a lot of realizations and lessons that I will use in my future. I will use these as tools to prevent myself from walking on the same financial path my parents took.

Now that I am already embarking on my journey as an adult, managing my finances concerns me, especially with the constant increase in prices of commodities that makes me weary about what the future holds. With that thought, several questions pop into my head: Will my career give me a job that pays me well and can cover the expensive cost of living? Will I reach my dream to be rich and retire early and live a comfortable life, or will I suffer, work until I am old, and live paycheck to paycheck?

Who doesn't want to be rich? Probably everyone is trying their best to climb the higher social hierarchy. Having experienced a hard life, I also started to dream of being wealthy. I want to be a well-off person, buy all my wants without checking if my budget can still support my meal tomorrow, buy a vacation house, support my family, travel, and experience other typical things a person wants in their lifetime.

Discovering crypto for the first time gave me a sense of hope that maybe my dream of becoming wealthy isn't impossible at all. Thanks to a person I saw on social media, I discovered a blogging platform called read.cash, which rewards its publishers with Bitcoin Cash.

At the height of the pandemic, I wrote a lot of articles and earned more than $1000, which I hold in my virtual wallet. This is already a big accomplishment for me as a 19-year-old. With me being ambitious to grow my assets more, I invested some of it in altcoins and the majority of it in an NFT game. I saw this as a chance to achieve financial freedom at an early age. However, little did I know my greediness would result in my downfall.

After almost two years of writing on read.cash, more than $1000 went in vain. The altcoins I invested in went to hell, the NFT game I invested in became incompetent, and progress almost halted. Maybe this is what you get when you earn a lot and don't know how to manage your finances properly.

Thanks to Kuya tpkidkai for onboarding me here. I saw this as an opportunity to start again and be better with my finances. I also want to thank the Hive PH community, especially Kuya adamada for helping us to be wiser in handling our earnings.

I am still ambitious, and my dreams of becoming financially free are still here. But I guess for now, I need to start again on building blocks and take one step at a time.

Becoming financially concerned about my future is inevitable, especially since I have big dreams. For now, I think I will focus more on mastering my skills and building a good foundation for my career. This might give me a good chance to find a better job. I will also continue sticking to crypto because there are a lot of opportunities to grab. Yet we are still in the early stage and there's still a lot of room for improvement in the future.
