Is it just a personal experience, or has there been a noticeable lack of hires for combustion chemists in the weapon and aerospace sectors? It seems the industry relies heavily on 1960s fuel without much innovation in that area.

The real opportunity lies not in competing with the numerous startups making SRBs, but in producing the AP that everyone requires. Currently, there's only a single domestic AP supplier in the US, and all defense companies must purchase domestically.
