Dimwitted discoveries

I've been complaining about the tiny amount of BAT I've been receiving for ages now, and thanks to my buddy @ykretz I think I have finally figured out what was the cause of all my batty frustration. But first a bit of history: since it was first announced I though the brave browser with it's associated BAT token were pretty cool so I started using it. That was almost 4 years ago and I've been using it constantly, but there is a catch, some of my crypto peeps have been earning way more BAT than me, like hundreds more. So far I've only earned 12 BAT in all these years which is a minuscule amount and even more so if you calculate the mean yearly number of tokens - 3. Not exactly something to write home about, and keep in mind we are in the middle of a bull run with the price of 1 BAT being over $1, in a few months I expect the price to go way down with the inevitable arrival of the dreaded crypto winter.

Anyway, at least one of the reasons, if not the main reason for the low amount of coins earned (remains to be seen ) is that I had windows notifications turned off this whole time and I wasn't receiving many adds ( duh ... I know ). I always thought adds would only be shown in browser, but apparently that's not the case because I have been receiving a lot of adds after turning on the freaking notifications. Another thing that I though played a role in the amount of tokens received was the country I lived in, which some would consider to be an Eastern European shithole, so not that lucrative in terms of advertising. But that has always been a supposition of mine, I'll have to wait and see if I'll still be earning jack shit :)

The moral of the story is: don't be a caveman, turn on your windows notifications if you're a pleb hungry for some BAT tokens. This doesn't apply to big fat whales of course, I'm sure they don't like to be bothered during their pump and dump schemes.
