Today I wanted to celebrate finally getting some rain!

Beaches are one of our favorite places to be for sure. This has become evident in the last couple of years where the little man has gotten older and older, he's able to do more things. It's both great as well as sad! Lol. He's able to enjoy the adventures we go on a lot more than he did when he was younger. It definitely helps to keep us young!
The little man and I were out on some adventures the other day, trying to get him out of the house. He gets a little stir crazy when he's cooped up in the house for long periods of time. This means the winter is going to be a fun one lol. He's definitely going to need some stuff to do when I finish working!
Luckily the area we were driving in was near the beach and he sort of knew it and immediately asked to go to the beach when we got to where we needed to go. I was a little hesitant because it was raining a fair bit and being at the beach, there was a heck of a wind going. Luckily though, we did end up going because once you got down to these rocks it wasn't that bad!
The little man has been itching to do some crab hunting, that's something we did to occupy a lot of time in the late spring and early summer. Not so much the case with the end of the summer as we had a lot of other things going on. Thankfully we were able to go out and enjoy it a bit here!
I remember the days when it was raining and we stayed inside to get away from the rain. Nowadays we don't get that same luxury! I know it's both good and bad. Good that it gets us our and exercising, exploring and enjoying the outside world and all it has to offer but it's also a little difficult because there are times when we just want to hang out inside lol and the little man has none of that! :D We weren't the only ones at the beach though so that was good to see! There were a few parents bringing out their little hellions kids so that was nice to see. Too many people stay inside all the time and that's a shame!
What was cool about the beach day as well was that the waves were pretty good! I wish we caught it on a day where it was high tide so we could enjoy the wildness that happens. Before we move I'm definitely going to aim to bring the little man to the beach during one of those crazy rain storms or hurricanes. The surf and waves are crazy! All kinds of stuff splashing and jumping up super high. I have lots of great fond memories of watching the waves crash over the sea wall when I was a kid. I'm hoping to be able to give that experience to the little man! October is thankfully prime season for that, so definitely going to keep an eye out for that and the tides.

Awesome stuff man! Love that it's just a few minutes away! I'm glad that the beach for us isn't that long either but that one looks nice!

LOL! Yeah, having it close has definitely changed our relationship with it. I used to try to get the most out of every trip to the beach; make sure I do my back-float in the waves for a couple hours, get some sun and beer time, look for shells, woo woo woo. Now I’ll just go spend 30 minutes looking for shells or take a brief moment to float and go home. It’s cool to be able to make quick trips :)
…yeah, I feel super uncomfortable sharing pictures of my kids, but blurring makes me feel a little better about it somehow hahaha
Sundays are not rest days when my kid is running around me all day long. I wish I have the courage to take him out to the lakeshore.
Hahah yeah it doesn't get any easier that's for sure! I spent the morning doing outdoor work then as soon as I got home at 2 my son was ready for me to take him out for a few hours. The days get long that's for sure but it's good, it gets us much needed exercise!

Omg! The beach! We've not been to the beach for a year, maybe. Considering that Abu Dhabi is an island city and there's lots of beaches, that is really a shame. The harsh desert heat is finally subsiding so we are looking forward to our beach escapade in the coming weeks.
That's great! Getting to the beach is so important for us that we wouldn’t be able to wait a year hahaha but the heat isn’t as intense as it is there so that’s definitely a factor! Hopefully you manage to get out to the beach soon!
