Today I wanted to talk about how we haven't been able to light a fire in the fire pit because of lame people!

Fiery Monochrome Monday

The fiery concept here is apt, because not only do I have some nice black and white pictures of a fire but I am also fired up that people are super lame and annoying!

My son and I have enjoyed making a fire in the fireplace for a few years. We would light the fire, burn all kinds of random sticks and shit that was in the area and it would do a few things. It would provide entertainment and it would also clean up the whole region. We would be collecting sticks from all over and bringing them over to the firepit to burn it up. In the wintertime, there is plenty of dead stuff falling off the trees so you have plenty of things to burn. Sadly that all came to an end when there was someone who was a miserable prick!

There are quite a few people in this world that are truly miserable. They do nothing but complain, don't bring anything positive to the table and just are insufferable on many fronts. We had a neighbor who is the epitome of this type of person - saw nothing but a way to complain. The little asshole complained to the cowardly governing body of where we live and we got a threat to get fined if we use the fire pit anymore. It was truly one of those things that's something you want to yell and curse in somebody's face over them being so petty. Could they be a man and fucking say something to my face? No, they were an utter and complete coward and ran to someone in authority instead of confronting me and seeing if we could amicably clear up what they perceived as an issue.

The rub of it all is I know exactly who did it and I curse them every time I walk by them, which is not something I like to do but the cowardly move still bothers me to this day, having happened a year ago.

I was looking for some photos to flip into black and white and I love a few pictures of fire when they are converted into black and white. They provide something remarkable for sure - such a contrast and vibrancy to them! Some of these photos were even cooler because the sticks we were burning at the time were wet or they were still alive, I don't remember what specifically but they were steaming from the heat of the fire! It was pretty cool to see that shooting out the end of the stick.

It makes me sad and annoyed that people are so cowardly that they can't have a conversation with someone they see walking around all the time. I don't have anything crazy about me like wearing some highly threatening clothes or something. I'm just a normal dude out with my son trying to have a good time. It's really quite pathetic that people don't have conversations anymore, they just escalate it to someone else to take care of their problem. Ah this picture post turned into something I wasn't expecting it to, but that's okay. It's good to let the words just flow!
