Today I'm here with some thoughts on HBD in the coming months.

Focusing on HBD

Three posts in the Leo ecosystem in a week, damn that's a record for me! Lol

One of the great things about setting goals for myself on Hive is that it's allowed me to stay focused on what the things are they I would like to do. Recently I was afraid that I wasn't going to be able to hit my Hive Power goal for the year but it turns out that I was able to sneak by the skin of my teeth on that one and if things go well for the next 30 days, I should be able to manage to get that goal achieved with a few days to spare! That's definitely an important piece for me!

What this has allowed me to do though is now focus on my other goal aspect for the year and that's growing my HBD in savings!

The HBD savings has been a great way to store some funds away and try to take advantage of the APR that it's offering, even if the APR is not going to last for very long. I don't know if the witnesses are going to keep it at 20% APR for the interest rate or bump it down. I'm hoping they don't bump it up even higher as I think that would be a little bit unreasonable but where it's at right now seems okay.

There was a recent post about how the markets and when they took a swing downwards, there was 1.3 million HBD sold or something like that. I think it has certainly incentivized people to hold it more than we would in the past which is certainly a good thing.

The reason I'm going to try and shift my focus a bit towards HBD and try to grow that stake as much as I can is that I read a post from Task this morning about the HBD becoming another transformed asset with some type of DeFi work. I don't fully understand it but I know that it's probably a good idea to try and see if I can get a slice of that pie because after all, some opportunities don't last forever!

That adds a bit of a layer of complexity for me though because that means I will have to figure out how to use something different for MetaMask so that I don't get my IP address tracked for each transaction lol that's a pain in the ass! I guess with the popularity of the various parts of crypto and DeFi it was a matter of time before that was going to happen. Thankfully I don't really dabble too much into HBD but that may change in the future with the added use cases that we are seeing popping up like this sHBD I think it was called, and other games like Ragnarok aiming to become an HBD sink.

I've also been getting tired of losing playing Splinterlands so I need something else to focus my attention on. Playing that game has really sucked up a lot of my time lately which is unfortunate because I've slacked a lot on getting posts scheduled! Hopefully I can get a bunch written over the next few days so I can feel a bit better about getting sucked into SL a bit more than I should be of late lol.

Trying to explore and figure out how I can improve my HBD rewards is a good way to refocus my attention! Getting the Hive Power goal nearly out of the way is good but I also don't want to spend too much time on HBD so I can keep growing my Hive Power at these cheaper prices for swapping Hive! When the next upward swing comes and Hive gets more expensive to purchase with HBD, it helps to be sitting nicely on a good stack of Hive in my opinion!
