Hive Power Up and Sponsor
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I'm here with the Seventeenth iteration (can't believe it's been 17 already!) of my "Power Up & Sponsor" initiative! I will try to be doing these monthly, to both join in on the Power Up day festivities but also to add my own flavor to it that I think would be great if more could join in!

What a great initiative it is good to see people that have made it give back and pay it forward. I haven't really done much on hive yet, but splinterlands has been quite a blessing in this 1 month alone so this seems like a great thing for me to deep dive into after I build up a little from chaos legions first.
Crazy how many people make 5-6 figures profit and I don't see far more initiatives. Great work!

Holy cow, this is awesome on so many levels!
First, I’ve just been excited to be meeting so many cool people here, yourself included. The community here has quickly proven itself to be a thing of value. I’ve picked up a couple hard lessons already and probably have a few to go, but my goal is to be providing great content that lives up to community standards and guidelines by the end of the year. Today’s lesson/change: I’m now scheduling my posts to spread them out. I tend to go through bursts of available time and energy. This will allow me to put out content on a consistent basis without coming across as spam, but in days with lots of free time, I can still produce multiple posts :)
Next, I have to say that I’m absolutely shocked and thrilled for this recognition! I’ll have to read some of the older posts tonight so I can get a better understanding of exactly how this works, but I understand the basic concept and think it’s a really cool idea - I’ll follow suit once I get into a stronger position, but in the meantime, sincerely THANK YOU!!!
I did take the plunge today, transferred 80% of my doge to hive. Split that 50/50 between HBD Savings and HP. I’m pretty low budget, so 80% of everything I had didn’t really amount to much, but I’m thrilled to be adding to my HP nonetheless :)
Lastly, I checked out Presearch and joined via your link. I think earning crypto for searching is really cool, but even cooler is getting away from Gargle 🤣 and it’s equivalents.

That's great that you're getting into post scheduling! That's one of the things that I've been into for a while now and it's remarkable for sure! I have my posts scheduled out 3 weeks now and will always try to be at least 2 weeks out. It's really good to be able to do that so we can put out content but keep it consistent. I schedule mine for the same time every day so I think that also helps have consistency in that regard.
That's good you were able to buy in with some Doge like that! I think that's great and I appreciate that you bought in some Hive, it helps not only you out but everyone else in the long run when folks are buying hive instead of just selling it all the time like so many do!
The account Steem Basic Income explains it really well, check them out at @steembasicincome for their explanations. It's an awesome way to let me invest in you a little bit. Granted the 1 share won't pay out to you immediately but it will the more shares that build up over time.
One of the best things about Hive here is the community! So many of the people who are on here and have been on here will certainly say the same thing: came for the allure of money but stayed for the community! This is the strength we have for sure.
Lastly, for Presearch, what I do is replace my normal tasks during the day with web searches. Looking for the weather? Don't open the weather app but just search your town via Presearch. Same thing with anything else I do. I search for PeakD or other Hive apps to earn some tokens and have been doing that for a while now. The thing with Presearch is that just have consistency and it will pay off. You won't get the tokens incredibly fast but if you keep it up and maintain the search habits daily you can earn a lot of them! You can earn a maximum of 30 paid searches a day (the rate you earn is variable per day, some days it's .09 other days it's .13) and they can't be immediately following one another. I wait at least 30 seconds or closer to a minute before searching again.
Yeah the scheduling makes sense. At first glance, the idea made me uncomfortable because I didn’t want to feel like my content release was being boxed into a schedule, but when I look out over the long term, I think it will work better when I have periods where I’m too busy to create new content.
I’m actually really relieved to have dumped most of my doge. I never really understood what I was getting with that, but always regarded it an investment in learning about crypto above all. As a result, I’ve got a ledger wallet and I know how to buy, sell, swap and transfer crypto…so I think doge has given me returns in that regard, and now I’ve moved to an asset I feel makes tangible sense! As for Hive, I’m absolutely a long term hodler. I picture it maybe becoming a sweep account in 5-10 years, where I’ll have a shipload in savings and staked, and I’ll scrape a little income off the top while maintaining steady growth.
Followed @steembasicincome. Their content looks like a wealth of information that will help me achieve the aforementioned goal, so thanks for setting me up with them! I’m kind of compressing two line items here, but absolutely agree that the community here really took me by surprise, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it!
I pretty much immediately started doing the same thing with Presearch. Once I had it set up, I logged in on my work PC and everything I needed online I accessed via search. I can see how a simple change in habit can be profitable there, especially if the pre tokens gain value…but again, my main goal is to divert revenue from the other guys.

I am following along with yours and @cmplxty comments. I am trying to learn. I am going to look up presearch now. I am trying to start recognizing names and slowly starting to immerse myself in the community. Right now, I am still just getting familiar with the communities and following along. I finally made a post, but had to ask my brother for some help in how to do it and picking out tags and such. How many posts and how often is your goal?
I was overdoing it at first. I think a good goal now is one quality post per day, or at least that’s the impression I’ve gotten from others here.
For Presearch, if you use the second link in @cmplxty ‘s response he can get a little credit if you end up sticking with it. I have a link too, but I think this one should go to the individual that initiated the conversation :)

Same! I feel like there’s still a lot to learn, but it really feels like it’s worth learning. I bet in six months we’re straight :)

Pay it forward is great for sure, it’s good to do things and get exposure out in the community for people or programs that are for giving back!
I have been posting once a day for the last year! It’s hard but a lot of fun and you eventually get in a groove. The sponsor days I do once a month on the first day which we call “power up day”.
Presearch is awesome, it takes some work and time but keep at it and try to get friends to use it as well and you can build a good stake in the program! I replace my small daily habits with using Presearch instead. Anything you are interested in looking up such as your weather, look it up via Presearch instead of the weather app. Small changes like this will make a difference in the long run! Now I haven’t used the weather app on my phone in years! I'm the opposite. I'm happy with my Leo at the moment, need to catch up on hive. But I'm ready for Leo Power up 2. I'm gonna struggle for LPUD 3.
