Today I wanted to write a little bit about the benefits of thinking long term

Long Term Mentality

There is certainly a product of the modern times and mentality that's going on right now, where people aren't really thinking long term very much.

Places used to value someone who had a long term vision that was beneficial for themselves and others such as banks who incentivized people to put their money into them for good interest rates. Slowly over time, through various different actions and policies, that mindset has eroded and I think many people that are adults right now are not interested in the long term mentality of life, markets and finances. It's not easy to plan for the future and sometimes things don't go as we want them to however it's important to try and have a long term mentality with many things!

One of the things that I had talked briefly about with a new friend of mine, @depressedfuckup is about the things related to Presearch! He wanted me to write something about my Presearch journey and it's been a while since I've written about it so I had this draft lined up to be completed. Now was the time to get 'er done!

With Presearch, the reward accumulation is sadly quite slow nowadays. It was a really good reward system in the past but with anything that was really good, it was prime for abuse. It was abused for sure and now we are where we're at but that's okay. The Presearch token, PRE, is one of my long term investments!. I've had PRE as a token for several years now but onw of the sad things with that is that with the people that I've managed to "refer" to the ecosystem, hardly any have stuck around!

Some people sadly just don't have the long term mentality with things related to crypto. I get that situations change in our lives and we do things differently however with the monumental change that can come in our lives with the monetized element of many things related to our lives, I think if we can manage to monetize some things in the beginning we can then lead to future successes when it comes to knowing the ins and outs of that type of stuff.

One of the good things that I've seen is that I've managed to keep some people engaged with the Presearch platform, even if I have no idea who they are! The people who are able to figure out a consistent pattern for using Presearch, like I do to search for easy things like the weather, search for Splinterlands as a website then click on it instead of having it already open or going to the website directly. Small changes like this are what we can do to make a little bit of money here and there. It looks like there are a small group of people who have found my link to Presearch and have made some changes in their lives to get a tiny bit of rewards for doing something they were going to anyways!

It's not anything to really write home about but I've managed to snag 250 PRE just from my referrals! I think that's a great number and I would certainly like to keep increasing that number however I am happy with where it's at now. I think that it's going to grow over time as the Presearch team expands and improves functionality.

One of the best ways to fend off the crypto winters is to get yourself into good habits while the temperature is cold as fuck outside, figuratively speaking, so that when things start to warm up you'll be in a great position to capitalize on that stuff!
