Recently we were at a place where I got a chance, albeit expensive, to go snowboarding!

Snowboarding Chance

We were out for a bit of a day trip one day when we stopped somewhere with an idea to try some winter stuff like snow tubing. Sadly we didn't get a chance to do that however I did take the opportunity to get a little bit of snowboarding in!

The time that plans don't go your way is sometimes the time when things cost you more than they should have. I own a pretty decent snowboard myself, along with all of the other proper snow gear. What was unfortunate is we got to the place to do some tubing only to realize that they were full for the day! We were determined to have something to do so we said screw it, let's try some snowboarding!

We've been a little hesitant to take our son snowboarding, for fear of the damage it could do to his legs at such a young age if he falls the wrong way. Skiing is definitely out of the question! What we felt comfortable though, sort of, was letting him try snowboarding for the first time. It was a whole lot of fun! He did awesome for sure but I made the mistake of agreeing to rent a board myself and buy a bunny hill lift ticket. I went up and down once lol oops. Oh well, it was still some awesome fun for sure!

Moral of the story: make plans and also back up plans if the original plans don't go right lol
