Today I wanted to post a walk through an interesting mall that I took years ago when I went to Vegas!

Vegas Mall Wednesday Walk

When I travel to places, one of the things that I find pretty fun and interesting to do is go to the shopping places or places that locals go. I guess in Vegas, there really aren't that many locals.. but I think this place is not exactly one that is the immediate thought of people to go when they get to Vegas. Most of it would be the casinos to lose all of their money lol.

The cool thing about most of the buildings in Vegas, malls included, is they have these beautiful and phenomenal pieces of art all over the place! Granted I haven't been there in a number of years, so these things could very well have changed and been removed but I would like to think that is not the case! The details on this are incredible for sure.

Getting into the bigger area was pretty intense. I have never been to a three story mall before, so this was certainly an interesting first. I don't know how many stores were in these top floors or if that was linked to a casino or hotel, my memory of it isn't as clear as it was before. I do remember that I was amazed at the size of the damn thing though! It was freaking gigantic and it stretched for a heck of a long distance!

It's also funny, thinking about it as I'm a bit older now than I was then. I think it would be nice to walk the mall that had that much surface area LOL you could walk all three floors plus the stairs and get several thousand steps in by the end of it! Hahaha getting old, it's fun.. laughing at my own nonsense.

I think the time of year that we went was around now, so there was a decent amount of decorations for Christmas. I think that's funny because it fits in well with the time of year we are in now LOL. There were so many cool things to look at though, they really do a great job of decorating the mall area. I've got a few malls near where I live and it's a bit of a dying breed but they don't do as good of a job as this one does with making the place look nice and interesting when you're inside it. Differences in money though, that's for sure lol

There was a cool Santa thing here too! Given that it was Christmas time when we were there, it's no wonder that they had a Santa thing for the kids to come up and chat with him. I'm actually kind of sad, we missed out on that this year and it's already late enough that it would be a disaster trying to do it now.

The good thing about the mall too though is that it got you out of the heat! The air in Vegas is incredibly dry and that's one of the things that I was not really used to, living near water my whole life. That air was freaking dry as a bone! It was crazy haha. I spent about two hours in the mall here just walking around and trying to get some humidity into my lungs before making the venture back out onto the strip and dry hot air. Eventually I did it of course, but it was nice to take a break in the mall here!
