India and Indians Known for Rich Heritage

Being an Indian I might be biased in writing but I can proudly say that India and Indians are known for their rich heritage. I am a Hindu by birth and embraces Hinduism. Hinduism simply means a way of life as well as the family of religions because it has so many faiths as well as religious ideas in it. Now some believe it is the oldest religion in the world, but I will not argue about that. If I talk about India, 80% of Indians practice Hinduism.

And the rich heritage which I am talking is been inherited to all the Indians. Indian's history also shows that we have gone through a lot, we have been attacked by Mughals and ruled by them for 500 years and then we have been ruled by British for 200 years. So because of that India is home to different culture. We have different religions, castes and other things which makes it quite unique in the world. Though we are Hindu majority country but all the religions people thrive out here. All the religions people peacefully stay here and do their religious activities openly.

Religion Inherited From Ancestor

Our Ancestor were Hindus and thus we have inherited that religion with us. I am not saying that we are too religious but still we take part in all the religious gatherings as well as festivals. In India we celebrate different festivals, in our case we mainly celebrate Holi and Diwali.

Our hometown is in Rajasthan and some of the big palaces of the kings still exists there. Like the Amer Fort in Jaipur, Udaipur Fort etc.

If I talk about my Ancestor home, we have a big home which consists of around 20 odd rooms divided between 16 cousin brothers of my father. So yeah we all have 1 room in that Ancestor home and it is still standing tall even after 70 years.

Ancestor Land

Along with the house we have a small land on our name in our village which is already divided among the cousin bothers. We thought of constructing a small house there in future. I have a plan of retiring early and then create that house for my retirement. I really liked my village because we have so much open place and do not have to stay in conjusted place like here.

Heritage in India

We have around 42 World Heritage Sites in India. Some are man made whereas some are natural. I have visited in some of the heritage sites like the City of Jaipur, Red Fort Complex, Hampi. I am also planning to visit other heritage sites in coming years to come. I am not sure if I can complete all the 42 sites, but would try to atleast 20 of them.

Visiting these heritage sites shows the rich history of ours. It big palaces shows the architecture, remains of Hampi shows the Mughal attackers, City of Jaipur again shows the rich culture of so many ancient monuments. Taj Mahal shows the symbol of love and others have the story too.

For Future Generation

The heritage or whatever we have got from our Ancestor should also be passed to the future generation so that they should also know the value. And because of that we are making our Daughter take part in festivals as well as understand all the religious things we do at any given day.
