Professor of Tomfoolery - Kenny Sebastian (Live)

Currently Kenny is One of India’s most beloved comedian. The live ‘Professor of Tomfoolery’ Tour in Melbourne happened on 16 July and it started at 9:00 Pm.

For the guys who are reading this post and don’t know Kenny, let me introduce you to his fancy job. He is a comedian who creates and hosts podcast called Simple Ken. The stand-up comedian hit the road with one of the largest world tours. He had sold about 30,000+ tickets.

📍 The Capitol - Melbourne

The location of the live tour was in Victoria, Melbourne. In the historic theatre called The Capitol where the Second Show was held.

The first time I came to know about this event was when my sister was watching Instagram and she said Kenny will be having a world tour and one of the locations is Victoria. We had our doubts about the dates but once we got closer to the ticket’s being almost sold out. 🎟️ We quickly bought ours 🤣

My sister and me. 👯‍♀️

For the people who are reading my posts for the first time. Melbourne is a super windy place and the temperatures drop quickly and the weather changes several times in a day. As you can see evidently, us snuggling is our warm coats.

It had been quite a while since we both had spent time together on our own. This live tour seemed like the best way to spend the weekend.

Before Kenny came to the stage there was a 15 min wait for all the theatre seats to be filled. As we entered The Capitol, the ushers would see our booking and codes to check if we have paid for the tickets.

The theatre was filled with bilingual audiences but a vast majority was still Indians. There was music being played with some fun beats and the lighting was highlighted to showcase a smoky room effect.

We then sat on our almost front seats 😛 as we dint want to answer any of the questions he might ask. After-all it was our very first comedic tour and we weren’t sure what to expect.

This was us once we settled down in our seats.

The main topic of the show was FAMILY. The comedian is known to bond with millennials and young Gen Z’s. He made sure we laughed at the current situation of generations trying to change according to the society and the problems they have faced and how they are slowly facing more into the future solution’s.

IMG_2028.jpeg

Every 15 mins he would switch his act showcasing the different generation. From grandpa to dad to his generation and then the now happening teens. How they would spend time lying and escaping from the overprotective parents and getting to attend their first party filled with all kinds of fun and drama. 🎭

And how it would backfire in a totally drunk teenager who might never be allowed to go out again and friends helping the puking victim 🤣

IMG_2026.jpeg

He kept a special part to interact with the audiences where he would ask questions and interact with the millennials asking them if they knew what situation-ships are.

Of course we got a couple of wrong answers until a gen z screams out the answer. Lol.

It was a wonderful way to spend our 90 minutes of the weekend laughing together and bonding with the fellow Indians coming to see an Indian comedian coming all the way from Mumbai. The bittersweet moments made us close the live show well.

As you can see in the above photo the audience was leaving the Capitol all happy and filled with grins at the exit hall. A lot of them were capturing memories with their friends and posting them on Instagram.

And we would leave without doing the same 😛

Tram
🚊

The tram stop was 2 mins away from the venue, just next to HnM. After a scary 8 min wait where we saw a man super high crossing the tram zone and going and scaring women. The small wait felt like a nightmare. Finally we caught our evening tram and came back home.

Situationships. lol.

I've always wanted to go to a stand-up comedy show, but I'm scared I'd get picked on by the comedian. 😂
