Empowering Women: The Impact of Women in Blockchain

avatar

Just a few years ago, blockchain and crypto weren't a go-to area for many women, but recently, there has been a significant number of women who are loving crypto trading and investment. This trend isn't limited to crypto but extends to technology as well. Fewer women dared to explore tech fields years ago, but today there has been a positive trend, with more women developing an interest in technology.

Even though there has been positive development in recent years, I still think many more women would have loved to take advantage of technology and its different aspects, including crypto. In Africa, the major issue impeding technological exploration happens to be a lack of IT infrastructure, including access to the Internet.
Another factor is a lack of empowerment.

Even in areas where there are IT resources available, there isn't enough support and education to gain the needed insights in technology. Empowering women could be very advantageous; it has the propensity to boost the adoption of crypto. More women using crypto could inspire others to venture into crypto, especially women who have doubts about it.

Today, on the Hive blockchain, there are lots of women in communities that constantly engage. With their involvement, I believe others will appreciate how the blockchain provides financial inclusion for everyone, not just a focus on men. Recently, our focus has included creating awareness about the Hive blockchain, especially in the tertiary sector, with women being the prime focus.

We were thrilled by how women on campus helped with publicity work during the preparations for the Hive conference, "the New Internet." This move on campus greatly contributed to the massive turnout at the event.
Seeing the increasing involvement of women in fields like blockchain, especially on platforms like Hive, is indeed a great development.

I remember the first blockchain conference which I attended years ago, there were just few women that participated among the many men. However, over the years, I've seen more and more women stepping into the blockchain world, breaking stereotypes, and paving the way for others.

With Hive, I would say, It's not just about empowering women; it's about creating a space where everyone's skills are recognized and valued. By giving everyone a chance, Hive is championing inclusivity in the tech industry and building more trust in crypto. The fact is, change is possible and we're moving towards a more diverse and equitable future.

Empowering women could be very advantageous

It is very advantageous, as women are naturally multipliers, they multiply and grow whatever is given to them, especially the diligent ones.

Seeing women take advantage of tech is quite good, empowering women is a better way to give them the support that they need.

Now this is a post that made my day better for sure! And most likely, to some other Hive ladies too. Nothing compares with the feeling of appreciation coming from the opposite genre! Thank you!
