In today's video, I share an excerpt from the main event of the 8th borehole launch, which took place in Chichibon, a town located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. This particular moment highlights the unveiling of the borehole and its first use by the community.
After the borehole lunch, the members of the community expressed their gratitude towards the Hive community for the positive influence it had on their lives. Ama Tawiah, a resident of Chichibon, used to endure long walks and queues in order to obtain clean drinking water.
She conveyed her deep appreciation to the Hive community, emphasizing that the Hive project had significantly transformed the lives of the residents, instilling hope and facilitating positive change.It was a truly a beautiful sight as the community members witnessed the mechanized borehole effectively pumping water for the very first time.

There's something a little different about water that comes from the ground Vs. water that is collected from rainfall, and stored in retention ponds.. the water in my are is all coming through a bunch of pipes from a reservoir somewhere..
