Youth Empowerment, The Role Hive Is Playing

Young people are the future; they will take on leadership responsibilities, start families, and act as role models for younger generations. Every nation needs to become more rigorous in their preparation processes to guarantee that they will be able to assume positions and be responsible people. Young people would need to be empowered to take charge of their lives.

By empowering young people, we mean encouraging them to make decisions or take actions that will bring about changes in their life and those around them. Every country needs to put more emphasis on this issue because when youth succeed, crime, unemployment, and poverty rates fall, which is very advantageous for all countries. When given the motivation, the appropriate information, the education, and resources in whatever form, youth are empowered.

Failed roles by families or societies have left individuals with no alternative but to forge their own path to survival. Young people appear to be in a rush to reach success at any costs, yet there is no getting around the fact that everything takes time. Whenever the topic of youth empowerment comes up, some people only think of it in terms of providing financial resources to young people to help them start businesses. It takes more than money to motivate young people to make positive changes in their own lives and the lives of others.

A wealthy man in Ghana made headlines in our local tabloids when he paid $1 million for an expensive Bugatti Veyron. Many young people had always looked up to him because of his numerous accomplishments and desired his kind of life. Serving as an inspiration to many youth In Ghana, people expect him to explain how he came to be so wealthy, how it all started, and how long it took him to do so. However, this crucial detail is constantly missing. He never consents to being interviewed. Just a few words of encouragement from him, in my opinion, might empower many. Positive messages that frequently obstruct advancement can be countered by any compelling testimonies from people who are already excelling in many areas of life.

We have smart young people in Africa who can venture into businesses of their own. The limitation has only been access to resources that many in other parts of the world have been privileged to have. An example of such resources is the internet technology that has a plethora of opportunities. Today there are many internet-based activities that people can leverage for good but due to lack of information about them, many young people haven't yet tap into the opportunities they presents.

This is why we have made it as part of the Hive empowers communities program to use the power of Hive to help expose many talented young guys to the possibilities of the blockchain technology. We believe Hive can empower many young people to take actions that can greatly bring about changes in their lives.

It will be great if we could all introduce many young people to Hive. Hive has evolved into a fantastic ecosystem in which many people have come to realize their full potential. Personally, I had no clue we could use the power of Hive to reach out to communities and make a meaningful difference in their lives, but it has been done. This is why I believe Hive has the potential to inspire individuals to find new approaches to solve problems. Hive is currently a better home to numerous artists, photographers, programmers, gamers, content creators, musicians and others. Hive is now playing a crucial role in empowering people, communities, and projects.
