I love this quote soooo much. In fact, pretty much everything this author ever wrote is awesome.

When the following questions were asked in this community my heart immediately jumped up with joy; I knew I wanted to answer them.

Here are the questions πŸ‘‡ I'll answer them one by one.

What is your favorite quote or phrase? Whose is it? Why do you like it? How does it make you feel? What does that make you think or believe?

My favourite quote (although I really love words, so this could easily change on a day-to-day basis πŸ˜‚ so I could say... my favourite quote in this moment) is the following quote by the late Dr. Seuss:

I love how playful he was. I love how he would make up new words and twist existing words into new forms. And I love how he was constantly teaching useful, interesting and important lessons to all his readers on topics that we all need to support around.

Like authenticity. If you read yesterday's post you'll already know that I jump at the opportunity to write about authenticity (i.e. the act of being true to yourself).

Now, I've already shared whose quote it is and why I like it, so let's look at the other questions this community contest asked us to answer.

How does it make you feel?

This quote makes me feel alive and playful and full of possibilities. I really like quotes that help me remember my bigness, that make me feel expansive and capable. I think part of Dr. Seuss' brilliance was his ability to make his readers feel things.

And I think that's what this week's contest, that's focused on motivation/inspiration is really about. To motivate people means you have to move people, literally. And how do you move people? You get them to feel something that compels them to move.

The same for inspiration: while the internal quality of feeling is slightly different, inspiration is more a soul level, heart level, a deeper level of feeling than motivation, both require us to feel something and that feeling leads to movement, to action.

Back to answering those questions. Last one:

What does that make you think or believe?

It makes me remember what I already think and believe to be true: There is no one alive who is quite like me. That my place is the world is unique and special and I need "do me" because no one else can. Only me. So I best get on with doing the important job of being me.

Loved your quote and your post. And I totally agree with this

"There is no one alive who is quite like me."

There is no one in this world who can be like us and that's one of the wonderful things that life has, each one of us leaves our own essence in this world.

Thanks for joining our contest β™₯️

At the end of all my posts I close with that line. "Remember to be you!"
