The most interesting workout I did last week.

Who said exercise had to be boring?

...

This is an image of a series of exercises I cut out of a running magazine that Brad (the Mister) had saved from years ago. As soon as I saw them I thought they'd make a great game/tool/resource. But not a static set of pages in a magazine, rather as a series of mini cards almost that I could pick and choose my way through.

This is what I used for exercise yesterday morning.

It was a rainy Sunday. I'd slept in after sleeping poorly that night before. It was drizzling and a walk or run outside seemed less than appealing. Brad was already on the wind trainer (indoor bike) pedaling away like a fiend.

I drank a big glass of water, poured a second and then walked over to the table where I leave these 👆 ready to go. I switched on my watch and away I went, cycling my way through one single exercise for each body part before returning to the beginning and picking another one.

In the last few minutes, as I could sense I was getting close to wanting to finish, I picked up a few of the stretching cards and did those.

40 minutes later Brad had finished on the bike, my water was empty, my body was tired and my belly was demanding breakfast. Job done. Better yet, the job was fun!

I forgot how much I enjoy doing these kinds of workout sessions. I think I'll do them more often. Maybe once a week? Ish? Ish!

Even better: there were balance and mobility exercises in there that I'd forgotten about that really challengeed me. If nothing else, I definitely want to do them more often!

Here's to aging well and having fun while doing so. 😊 😁 😊
