Tuba Tune in D major - Phil Lehenbauer

My dear friend Phil Lehenbauer knows that I love a good TOOOBA tune, so I was especially delighted when he sent me his latest composition that featured this LOUD stop. The piece is very accessible and features a driving rhythm which is perfect for use as a postlude, recessional or recital piece. I chose to record this on the sample set of Alessandria using Hauptwerk by Piotr Grabowski. The link to the score is below and is available for instant download.

So this song was originally written for tuba? Need to check out Phil's rendition at some point. I liked the organ version! I agree with @thecuriousfool, the sound of the organ is so beautiful and innately majestic somehow.
I miss playing the tuba. I never had my own but borrowed one in school. My last solo piece was Beelzebub by Andrea Catozzi. That was fun except my piano accompanist copped out on me at the just minute. You might like that one despite the name! Also, have you heard Tuba Tiger Rag? There's a good video on YT by Canadian Brass. It's a vintage recording

No, the piece was written for use with the Tuba organ stop (imitative of the real tuba). But I suppose you could play this for real tuba and organ.

I haven't heard the Tuba Tiger Rag...I'll have to look it up.
