Splinterlands - BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge - Theme: Lost Legendaries

Happy Sunday to all, enjoying the weekend?

Here I am enjoying my Sunday with some manual battles in Modern format and believe me, after couple of seasons, I have moved into Diamond league with manual battling and hopefully, in this remaining 1 and half days, will make some progress to move atleast into Diamond I.

This week on BATTLE MAGE SECRETS weekly challenge, we have a theme which takes out legendary and epic monsters from being used in battle and it's all the common and rare Ones which will rule the battle in this rule set.

Battle and Lineup:

This was One of those battles with 3 rule sets with stempede (all monsters having trample ability) and taking sides (no neutral monsters allowed) being the other 2 rule sets apart from lost legendaries and there was a MANA cap of 39 to accommodate some of the good water splinter monsters as explained below.

Lineup:

1. Diemonshark:

With stampede rule set enabled for this, I felt like we need to have a monster with more armors in order to avoid trample getting it take over and Diemonshark is always a better option.

2. Flying Squid:

When I use Diemonshark at front, I always use this monster as a reach ability One and as it can blindfold opposite side monsters, it's always a better option in my opinion for Second position and can even hit back if a monster fails to attack it.

3. Deeplurker:

An opportunity monster like Deeplurker is always useful given we have taunt ability monsters for all the splinters and monsters like this will be a good to go ones with taunt.

4. Merdaali Guardian:

A tank healer with repair ability and also strengthens all friendly monsters.

5. Merdhampir:

A life leech ability monster which can be very handy in case this and another monster is left and it's huge accumulated health can be good to keep it alive and other monsters following it can keep attacking.

6. Swamp Spitter:

Lastly, I used this repair ability monster to bring back those removed armors for any monsters including this monster itself.

Battle:

The lineup with 2 repair ability monsters means I had the advantage over opponent who mostly used melee and ranged attack monsters and the battle was smooth enough for me.

Did you feel the easiness with which I won the battle because of no magic monsters on the other side and also I used those repair ability monsters to keep building armors for the Diemonshark and kept it alive for most part of this battle.
