I hope you all were able to purchase the number of Chaos Legion packs from the General sale as per you had planned.
It was an opportunity for me to sell out some of my long holding tribe coins and purchase few more packs as I could amass 1050 packs to be eligible for 3 each of the 3 new airdrops that will be dropped soon.
It's been busy last few days with all these calculations for packs purchase, airdrop calculation and battling it out in between!!!!
Here is my blog for this week's SHARE YOUR BATTLE challenge with theme monster being Feral Spirit from Life splinter.

Feral Spirit is one of the most used monsters being a sneak attack monster with good speed and good enough melee attack for the 3 MANA cost the monster has.
You might have observed when you used in battles that, it evades the attack from melee and ranged attack monsters most of the time.

Stats:

For 3 MANA cost, this monster can be a very handy one as it can have a maximum of 4 melee attack with speed as high as 7 and decent health of 5 at max level.
Let's go by each of it's stats with regards to attack, speed, health and also abilities it has.
The melee attack it has starts with a solitary one at level 1, but, it keeps increasing and at level 4, it will be 2 and at level 7, it will be 3 and at max level, i.e. level 10, it will have 4 attack.
Speed is it's biggest plus as it will be starting with speed of 4 and can go up to 7 which is very good speed and for 3 MANA it's a very good one to have.
The health for this will start at 2 and it will also keep increasing as we level it up and at max level, it will have 5 health.
The abilities or I should say ability as it has a single ability throughout it's 10 levels and it is the sneak attack ability.
Life Splinter is more of sneak attack with Silvershield Assassin, Sand Worm and Feral Spirit will form a good combo of sneak attack.

Battle and Lineup:

This was one of those Low MANA cap battles as it had just 19 MANA cap and the rule sets were interesting ones with Equalizer (all monsters having equal health of that of monster with highest health on either side.) and Rise of the Commons (No Legendary or Epic monsters can be used in the battle)
For this 19 MANA cap battle (3 or 4 for Summoner itself) I used the lineup as below:

Lineup:

1. Furious Chicken:

Since there was just 19 MANA cap and also since the Equalizer rule set was on, I used this at the front as it is a monster with enrage ability as well.

2. Pelacor Conjurer:

Pelacor Conjurer seems to be the most used monster at Little League battles and battles with lower MANA cap as this is having that ability to evade most of the attacks and it is also the one with magic reflect to return back the attack by reducing health of the monster which attacked.

3. Creeping Ooze:

Speed will be very crucial at such low MANA cap battles and I felt using this Creeping Ooze will be a better one to slow down the monsters on other side.

4. Stitch Leech:

This monster is with Life Leech ability and is a sneak attack monster and most of the low MANA cap battles will have good monsters at the back end and hence, I though of using this to attack the back end monsters.

5. Silvershield Assassin:

Another sneak attack monster is this Silvershield Assassin which not only gives 2 melee sneak attack, but gives it 2 times in each round because of it's double strike ability.
Another good thing about this monster is, it can even poison the monster it attacks.

6. Feral Spirit:

The theme monster for this week was used in the last position in my lineup as it can have more chances of evading any sneak attack besides giving those 2 useful sneak attack.

Opponent used Life Splinter too but used a different one which increases the ranged attack and his monsters were, Blinding Reflector, Pelacor Conjurer, Pelacor Arbalest and Venari Crystalsmith.

Battle:

Round 1:

While all the attack by opponent was towards front monster, I had chosen to attack the backend monsters.
With no armors as such, opponent's monsters were vulnerable to melee attack and in this round, opponent lost his Venari Crystalsmith and with that, a tank healer too.

Round 2:

The Second round was similar to the First one with opponent losing his other main monster in Pelacor Arbalest while my Furious Chicken couldn't make it to round 3.

Round 3:

The other 2 monsters used by opponent in Blinding Reflector, Pelacor Conjurer got removed even before they could attack in this and with that, the battle ended with an easy victory for me.

Questions and Answers:

Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?

Well, the strategy was simple, place all Zero MANA cost and lesser MANA cost monsters at the front and use some good speed sneak monsters at the backend and start attacking from back end of the lineup on opponent's monsters and I was successful in that with 2 good ranged attack monsters getting removed in First 2 rounds itself.

Do I like the FERAL SPIRIT? Why or why not?

I always use it in most of the battles I fight with Life splinter with this, Silvershield Assassin and Sand Worm making it as a team of sneak attackers.
The reason for this is that, I try to attract all the attack towards Shieldbearer at the front and keep attacking the back end monsters from opponent and finish it off.

That was fun and a short battle.
I am sure you all are eagerly waiting for the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth cards to be airdropped for Chaos Legion and me too :)
Let's all hope there will be good number of cards returned and I wasn't lucky so far to get a gold foiled one from airdrops and hope atleast this time, I will be lucky.

Thanks and Have a good day :)

Very nice writeup! I love doing multiple sneak monsters and watching the opponent's backline get crushed.

Thank you, I too love using more of melee monsters, especially the sneak ones like Silvershield Assassin, Sand Worm and all.

Have a good day :)
