New Year's Reflection From a Snowy World
Happy New Year to all!
We may be starting a new tradition...
The turkey carcass that was left over from Thanksgiving was in our deep freezer, waiting to bubble happily in the big stew pot.
Since we weren't able to get into town due to this sudden arctic blizzard (this is the last freakin' year I'm going to be in the Pacific NorthWest without a four wheel drive), let alone get down our driveway AND that hill — it's been over a week since I've been to the store (gasp!) so I've been enjoying our pantry and freezer.
We had plans for Chinese Take Out (that was the OLD tradition) but that just was not going to happen, without endangering life and limb.
Out with the old, in with the new, right?

We Live in a Beautiful Part of the World!
And we are blessed with many tall trees and many beautiful forests.
We are also blessed with power lines that run through aforesaid trees and forests.
Yesterday, the power was off again in our area (twice), and the only good thing about that is the opportunity to pause and to recognize the beauty in the spaces between the dimensions of light and shadows.
The lack of electricity is a pain in the butt, but there is much to be grateful for!
Thanks for stopping by and looking!
(As always, all photos are my own!)
