Jupiler League Week 30 Saturday Previews

The last week of the regular season is here with just 2 matches played on Saturday and 6 of Sunday of which 4 played at the same time. I'm up just 1 unit on the season which is not all too bad after a horrible start with higher stakes reducing the risk and rebuilding with lower stakes. Most likely I'm just going to want to end the season positive so the risk and volume likely will be low this weekend.

Standard vs Eupen

Standard managed to avoid the playdowns and have basically nothing left to play for aside from pleasing their fans with a good performance. That really lacked last week against Genk especially in the 1st half were they just really bad. In they last 5 matches they had 0.30xg / 0.45xg / 0.43xg / 0.46xg with an anomaly of 2.62 in their previous home match against AA Gent playing against 10 players most of the match. Eupen is sure to play the playdowns and every point still counts for them and could make a huge difference at the end. However, they haven't been great but did manage to take a win last week against Stvv who had nothing to play for. Their coach in the past had the strategy to defend for 70 minutes and go for it after that. In the last match he opted to go for it from the start. So it remains to be seen how he is going to play it today. Standard needs to put up a good performance to please the fans while they otherwise have nothing left to play for and Eupen could use every point they can take. I honestly have no clue what number to put on this match as I could make a case for both sides. No Pre-Game Bets

Anderlecht vs Kortrijk

Anderlecht are playing for the championship and need a win to keep in range or come closer to Union. The form they managed to showcase especially at the start of matches has been really solid to the point where I would rate them as the best team of the moment. The main question today will be how much rotation there will be since many players are on the verge of suspension. I do fully expect Hazard, Leoni, Sardella, Stroeykens to start on the bench not to take risks if not needed. Anderlecht has started their matches excellently and I expect the same today against Kortrijk. However, assuming there will be no Hazard is quite a big blow for them. Kortrijk did quite well under their new coach getting in a position where it's no longer mission impossible as they are just 3 points behind on 14th place with the playdowns left to be played. Overall though, they just lack quality and I do expect this to show again today. I did take an early 0.095 unit bet on Anderlecht 1H -0.75 @ 2.01 but I won't add any before I see the actual line-up. The most likely scenario is for Anderlecht to be the better team taking a good start again to make the difference in the 1st half to go in a mode where they can control the match after.
