This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

This week was extra frustrating as I really felt that I was picking up my form again finding some actual edges on the market to be smacked back down on Sunday in a combination of bad luck at bets just not being good enough. This made it initially go up with some steps but come down again with the elevator for an overall losse of another -0.858 units putting me back near my lowest point of the season.

I'm still keeping my stakes to the low side which is helping me survive this bad streak better. There were also just many cases of very high variance epxecially in the Charleroi match where the 1-2 came but it was ruled offside instantly followed by a very unneeded corner given away by Charleroi goalkeeper Koffi followed by another one and a goal which made me a 1H winning corner and Charleroi bet 1H into losing ones

It's inevitable when doing things like this for 7+ years now that there will be bad streaks and this certainly is one of those. In a way, I always liked these series of results posts to give an actual realistic view on things where most of the internet is made up of fake records of punters who want to make money selling picks or losing players wanting to look profitable by posting wins after the matches are played.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2023-2024

I also had a whopping 6 pre-game bets which all felt quite good but ended up going 1.5W-4L-0.5P in the end getting these bets down to -4.25 units in total which sucks and it easily could have gone otherwise even though some bets certainly turned out as bad ones.

Regular Season 2023-2024 Personal Betting Chart

I do feel this bad period isn't quite over yet and the main goal remains to limit the damage eventually coming out of it. There were some sparks of confidence again which at least was something. If anything I really need that in order to continue betting as there is no point if I don't have the belief to make money long-term. For now it's still an unfortunate season with edges that are smaller compared to the previous season but should still be manageable.
