Learning cultivating little plants for my upcoming experimental project isn't easy. There are much to learn and this serves as my personal journal that hopefully will lead to a successful project that may happen on end of August / September this year.

Due to the nature of the project requires dealing live plants, months ahead of preparation is much needed.

But is 2 days after hydrating the Fittonias?

Trough this learning process, I have learned that Fittonias are perennial plants, which means a healthy plant can propagate more plants if the condition is right and the plant is healthy.

After 2 days of hidration the babies look very plump and ready; moreover when they arrived, there were already differnt branch nodes popping and according to youtube, and also part of friend's advice, to "stimulate" the plant's survival, pruning is required.

after watching several YouTube tutorials from plant nursery influencers, I have learned to identify where to cut the plants for propagation.

Because I needed the plants to maintain in small size for my project, I cannot wait too long and chop off for propagation when these babies becomes too huge.

So with 2 of the Fittonias, the red and white "nerve" plants have additional branches now healthy and firm, I have started cutting just the right depth in order to make sure the new cuttings will be stimulated to root, with minimal leaves. That's why I "chopped" off the additional bigger leaves at the side , so that they will be "forced" to "survive" by providing rotts quickly and produce more leaves.

I will also going to use the plant growth serum energizer I acquired last year that is helping my potted plants to recover, especially the almost dying orchids to use on it tomorrow as I forgotten to bring along to tend them at my workplace, and hopefully with that plus nicely filtered hexagon water_, which actually does a pretty decent effect with processing high clorinated tap water into a natural, drinkable water without boiling despite Wikipedia's bad reporting as a "marketing scam" because the writer doesn't understand how polluted developing countries water are, the plants will recover and expand its growth more vibrantly.

What happens to the additional leaves?

I am going to see if I can flatten and dry them with a heavy dictionary. Maybe if the colours are nice and stayed on, I could make bookmark designs out of them too.
