Este tipo de acontecimientos son los que yo aprovecho para pasar más tiempo en compañía de mi familia. Todas las semanas paso a visitarlas y estoy con ellas dos horas regularmente, pero en ocasiones especiales puedo estar un poco más. Ellas se ríen y gozan conmigo porque soy muy antojada y si me dicen que en la reunión habrá comidas o postres ahí estaré hasta el final de la fiesta 🥳

Los cumpleaños son una oportunidad para celebrar la vida del cumpleañero y de los invitados, lo digo porque cuando vamos a abrazarlo y felicitarlo, al menos yo siempre digo, Dios me dé vida para verte crecer y seguir celebrando contigo muchos años más. ¿Ustedes no lo dicen?

En mi familia son muy pocos los cumpleaños 🎂 que celebramos juntos ya que somos cuatro hermanos, pero estamos distantes geográficamente entonces los más cercanos disfrutamos estos momentos en persona y compartimos mediante fotos y videos con los que están alejados. Una de las cosas que debemos agradecer a esta era tecnológica es precisamente la posibilidad de acercarnos a nuestros seres queridos.

Casi todos los meses estamos de fiesta porque en mi familia las fechas de nacimiento están muy bien repartidas, así que si estuviéramos todos juntos cada mes nos podríamos reunir y seríamos súper felices 😁

No sé si en tu familia sucede que suelen reunirse más en días tristes que en los alegres. Una vez un primo me comentó que eso debería cambiar. No es posible que estando bien, vivos y sanos no sacamos el tiempo para compartir en familia, me refiero a la familia grande, a esa que nos enseñaron a querer y visitar cuando niños. Él tiene toda la razón, yo soy una que se ha apartado mucho de los encuentros, tengo mis motivos por salud, pero es un poco difícil que ellos comprendan. A pesar de ello estoy totalmente de acuerdo, debemos propiciar espacios y momentos para celebrar la vida siempre, no únicamente cuando el reloj nos avise que se ha ido una año más o que estamos por comenzar una etapa nueva en nuestras vidas.

Muchos son los motivos por los que nos distanciamos, por ejemplo nuestros trabajos. En esta época tan dura que nos ha tocado vivir prácticamente disponemos del mayor tiempo para ejecutar tareas o actividades laborales, incluso hay padres que no frecuentan a sus hijos por tal motivo. Yo estuve 18 años trabajando y veía a mis hijos un rato por las noches y los fines de semana. Nosotros, los docentes, nunca dejamos de trabajar.

Ahora que mi sobrina celebró su cumpleaños yo me sentí muy feliz de poder estar con ella. Algo curioso que sucedió esta vez fue que la torta la cortaron más temprano y no fue por mi culpa 🙂 sino porque los suegros de mi sobrina debían retirarse temprano. Casi siempre la cortan y cantan cumpleaños para que yo participe, esto porque no me gusta estar por la calle tan tarde en las noches. Ya mis sobrinas han superado esa etapa de querer celebrar hasta el amanecer, han crecido y madurado y eso me alegra porque una de las razones por las que me encanta estar en estas reuniones son las tortas. Tanto mis sobrinas como su mamá hacen unas deliciosas tortas.

Esta es una torta fría, solemos comerla en los días de navidad, pero como a mi sobrina le gusta mucho la eligió para su cumpleaños, hizo dos, una normal de bizcocho esponjoso y esta fría que tiene flan, frutas, cerezas y leche condensada. Es una torta realmente buena.

Ya mi cumpleaños está cerca, quizá le encargue a una de ellas una torta muy sabrosa de chocolate para que celebremos juntas.

Every week I visit them and spend two hours with them on a regular basis, but on special occasions I can spend a little more time with them. They laugh and enjoy with me because I am very hungry and if they tell me that there will be food or desserts at the gathering, I will be there until the end of the party 🥳.

Birthdays are an opportunity to celebrate the life of the birthday boy and the guests, I say this because when we go to hug and congratulate him, at least I always say, God give me life to see you grow and continue celebrating with you for many more years. Don't you say it?

In my family there are very few birthdays 🎂 we celebrate together since we are four siblings, but we are geographically distant then the closest ones enjoy these moments in person and share through photos and videos with those who are far away. In spite of this I totally agree, we should always provide spaces and moments to celebrate life, not only when the clock tells us that another year has gone by or that we are about to begin a new stage in our lives.

There are many reasons why we distance ourselves, for example our jobs. In these hard times we live in, we practically have the most time to perform work tasks or activities, there are even parents who do not spend time with their children for that reason. I worked for 18 years and saw my children for a while in the evenings and on weekends. We teachers never stopped working.

Now that my niece celebrated her birthday I was very happy to be with her. A funny thing that happened this time was that the cake was cut earlier and it was not because of me 🙂 but because my niece's in-laws had to leave early. They almost always cut it and sing birthdays for me to participate, this because I don't like to be out on the street so late at night. My nieces are past that stage of wanting to celebrate until dawn, they have grown up and matured and that makes me happy because one of the reasons I love to be at these gatherings is the cakes. Both my sisters and their mom make delicious cakes.

This one is a cold cake, we usually eat it on Christmas days, but as my niece likes it a lot she chose it for her birthday, she made two, a normal sponge cake and this cold one that has custard, fruits, cherries and condensed milk. It is a really good cake.

My birthday is coming up, maybe I'll order one of her a really tasty chocolate cake for us to celebrate together.
