Hola apreciados amigos de #needleworkmonday, miembros y visitantes. El día de hoy quiero mostrarles cómo realicé este lindo adorno con figura de paloma.

🇻🇪 Recientemente vivimos en Venezuela un proceso electoral, todos estuvimos esperanzados en que se realizaran con total normalidad y siempre deseando que reinara la paz. Gracias a Dios así fue. No hubo ningún tipo de incidencias que lamentar hasta donde tengo entendido. Por tal motivo, aunque había planificado concentrarme en la observación del sufragio, no pude contenerme y ✍️ dibujé sobre una hoja de papel una paloma e inmediatamente recordé que una amiga me había pedido algunos adornos para su arbolito. 🕊️ ¿Por qué no hacer unas palomas? 🕊️ Me decidí e inicié el proyecto. Con mucho gusto se los voy a compartir con los detalles de su elaboración.

🇻🇪 Recently we lived in Venezuela an electoral process, we were all hopeful that they would be carried out with total normality and always wishing that peace would reign. Thank God it did. There were no incidents to regret as far as I understand. For such reason, although I had planned to concentrate on observing the suffrage, I could not restrain myself and ✍️ I drew on a sheet of paper a dove and immediately remembered that a friend had asked me for some ornaments for her little tree. 🕊️ Why not make some doves? 🕊️ I made up my mind and started the project. I will gladly share them with you with the details of making them.

Entre otros elementos, las palomas blancas son símbolos de la paz. Desde niños nos enseñan a reconocerlas e identificarlas como una señal de libertad, pureza y paz. Por eso decidí incorporarlas en mi catálogo de adornos navideños para colgar en el arbolito. Es en la época decembrina cuando más añoramos tener paz y tranquilidad, compartir en armonía con nuestros seres queridos, olvidarnos de los rencores y malos entendidos. La navidad es un tiempo para el reencuentro, la unión y la hermandad.

Among other elements, white doves are symbols of peace. Since childhood we are taught to recognize and identify them as a sign of freedom, purity and peace. That is why I decided to incorporate them in my catalog of Christmas ornaments to hang on the tree. It is at Christmas time when we long for peace and tranquility, to share in harmony with our loved ones, to forget about grudges and misunderstandings. Christmas is a time for reunion, union and brotherhood.

PALOMA NAVIDEÑA.CHRISTMAS DOVE.

Para realizar este adorno necesité los siguientes materiales:

🕊️ Fieltro blanco.
🕊️ Aguja de coser.
🕊️ Hilos de coser.
🕊️ Hilo dorado.
🕊️ Tijeras.
🕊️ Guata o algodón para rellenar.
🕊️ Dibujo de la paloma.
🕊️ Perlitas para decorar o lentejuelas. Colores: negro, tornasol y verde.
🕊️ Pegamento.

To make this ornament I needed the following materials:

🕊️ White felt.
🕊️ Sewing needle.
🕊️ Sewing threads.
🕊️ Gold thread.
🕊️ Scissors.
🕊️ Wadding or cotton for stuffing.
🕊️ Drawing of the dove.
🕊️ Beads for decorating or sequins. Colors: black, iridescent and green.
🕊️ Glue.

El procedimiento es muy sencillo:

🕊️ Traspasamos el diseño de la paloma a la tela de fieltro.
🕊️ Recortamos dos figuras de la paloma.

The procedure is very simple:

🕊️ We transfer the dove design to the felt fabric.
🕊️ We cut out two figures of the dove.

🕊️ Pegamos las lentejuelas o las perlitas tal como muestro en la fotografía.
🕊️ Para finalizar bordamos los ojos o colocamos una lentejuela negra.

🕊️ We glue the sequins or beads as shown in the picture.
🕊️ To finish we embroider the eyes or place a black sequin.

🕊️ Juntamos ambas figuras y empezamos a coser.
🕊️ Antes de coserla totalmente colocamos un poco de relleno y luego cerramos.
🕊️ Haremos con hilo dorado el colgante y lo cosemos o pegamos antes de finalizar toda la costura.

🕊️ We put both figures together and start sewing.
🕊️ Before sewing it completely we place some stuffing and then we close.
🕊️ We will make with golden thread the pendant and sew or glue it before finishing all the sewing.

Confieso que me distraje conversando con mi hijo y cerré toda la costura sin haber introducido el colgante. Por lo que tuve que coserlo por fuera. 🤪

I confess that I got distracted chatting with my son and closed the entire seam without having inserted the pendant. So I had to sew it on the outside. 🤪

🎄 Estos gorritos los hice con hilo pabilo. Con trocitos de guata formé los pompones. Les coloqué un colgante con hilo dorado. Este tutorial está por aquí en mi blog. Si buscan con calma lo encontrarán.
