Hola amigos, ¿Cómo les va en este nuevo año 2022? Por acá muy bien aún con un clima muy fresco por la mañana y durante la noche. Estos días son excelentes para el descanso. Aunque yo acostumbro levantarme muy temprano, cuando hace frío disfruto un poco más de mi camita.

Para hoy quiero mostrarles un proyecto que al fin pude realizar, lo tenía agendado desde mediados del año pasado. Lamentablemente no lo realicé y aprovecho para hacerlo en este nuevo año. Es un regalo para los pájaros que tenemos en casa. Yo dejé de tener pájaros hace muchos años. La verdad no me siento apta para hacerme responsable de este tipo de animales. El padre de mis hijos los traía para alegrar el hogar y hacer feliz a los niños. Ahora que él ya no está aquí nosotros solo tenemos un perro para que nos cuide y nos mantenga alerta de los extraños.

Today I want to show you a project that I was finally able to do, I had it scheduled since the middle of last year. Unfortunately I did not make it and I take the opportunity to do it in this new year. It is a gift for the birds we have at home. I stopped keeping birds many years ago. The truth is that I don't feel fit to be responsible for this kind of animals. My children's father used to bring them to brighten up the house and make the children happy. Now that he is no longer here we only have a dog to look after us and keep us alert for strangers.

COLUMPIO PARA PÁJAROS.//BIRD SWING.

Este modelo de columpio podemos hacerlo de diferentes tamaños y colores. Yo voy a realizarlo con los colores de hilo pabilo que tengo disponibles en este momento. Espero poder pronto hacer una compra de materiales para crear más modelos. También tejeré dos pajaritos pequeños para montarlos en el columpio. Empecemos.

This swing model can be made in different sizes and colors. I am going to make it with the colors of pabilo thread that I have available at the moment. • Hilos pabilos.
• Aguja de crochet de 2,5 mm.
• Aguja lanera.
• Tijeras.
• Algodón para rellenar.
• Ojos plásticos.

• Wick yarn.

• Crochet needle of 2.5 mm.
• Wool needle.
• Scissors.
• Cotton for stuffing.
• Plastic eyes.

El procedimiento para realizarlo es el siguiente. Empezamos realizando el COLUMPIO.

• Para ello comenzamos tejiendo una base de puntos altos. La hacemos crecer con aumentos hasta alcanzar el tamaño deseado.
• Seguidamente tejemos sin aumentos para empezar a darle altura.
• Las dos últimas vueltas las tejemos con hilo color beigs o marrón claro.
• Al finalizar doblamos hacia afuera la última vuelta que tejimos.

• Then we knit without increases to begin to give it height.
• The last two rows are knitted with beige or light brown yarn.

• Vamos a tejer dos cadenas largas, proporcionales al tamaño de la base para que la mantenga equilibrada, eso dependerá del tamaño del columpio. Recordando que uniremos cuatro hebras de las cadenas y haremos un nudo donde quedará el colgadero del columpio.
• Tejeremos los adornos en color blanco. Círculos iniciados en anillo mágico tejidos con punto bajo.
• También haremos varias hojas a crochet.
• Al tener todo listo empezamos a armar. Ver imagen.

• We are going to weave two long chains, proportional to the size of the base to keep it balanced, this will depend on the size of the swing. Remembering that we will join four strands of the chains and we will make a knot where the hanging of the swing will be.

• We will weave the ornaments in white color. Circles started in magic ring knitted in single crochet.
• We will also crochet several leaves.
• When we have everything ready we start to assemble. See image.

• Aquí les presento a los pájaros. Los hice de manera rápida y sencilla. Tejí dos esferas pequeñas y las cosí una sobre la otra.
• Tejí dos triángulos para hacer las alas.
• Corté en tela de fieltro la forma de un pico.
• Seleccioné dos ojos movibles porque de los negros ya no me quedan.
• Armé dos pájaros y les coloqué a cada uno hilos sobre la cabeza para simular las plumas. Los metí en el columpio y se juntaron. ¡Se enamoraron de inmediato! Cómo que nacieron uno para el otro. 🥰

• I cut out of felt fabric the shape of a beak.
• I selected two movable eyes because I don't have any black ones left.
• I assembled two birds and placed threads on each bird's head to simulate feathers. I put them in the swing and they came together and fell in love immediately! Like they were born for each other. 🥰

Me encantó hacer este proyecto. Los pájaros quedaron tiernos. De verdad que se atraen mucho, me costó un poco colocarlos uno al lado del otro, siempre me quedaban pico con poco. No estaría de más colocar una base dura para que los pájaros se cena un poco más altos dentro del columpio. ¡Los veo lindos!

I loved doing this project. The birds turned out so cute. They are really attracted to each other, it was a little difficult to place them side by side, I always had a beak with not enough. It wouldn't hurt to put a hard base for the birds to sit a little higher in the swing, they look cute!
