Yo sigo con mi reto de creación de cactus 🌵 me siento muy emocionada haciéndolos. Hay infinidad de cactus, de diversas formas y tamaños. A mi mamá le encantan las tunas, siempre tuvo de estas plantas en su casa, crecen muy alto y se ven muy lindas a pesar de su tamaño. Ya les compartí anteriormente cómo hacer un modelo de tuna muy linda. Ahora les traigo dos modelos nuevos, en realidad no sé si tienen nombres específicos, pero para mí todos son cactus.

I continue with my cactus creation challenge 🌵 I feel very excited making them. There are plenty of cactus, of different shapes and sizes. My mom loves prickly pears, she always had these plants in her house, they grow very tall and look very pretty despite their size. I have already shared with you how to make a very pretty prickly pear model. Now I bring you two new models, actually I don't know if they have specific names, but for me they are all cacti.

Para realizar estos cactus utilicé los hilos pabilos, aguja de crochet de 2,5 mm, tijeras, aguja lanera, guata o algodón para rellenar, plástico de botella reciclada y pegamento.

To make these cactus I used the pabilos yarns, 2.5 mm crochet needle, scissors, wool needle, wadding or cotton for stuffing, recycled plastic bottle and glue.

Empezaremos tejiendo la maceta este patrón es bastante sencillo, podrás leer los detalles pinchando las letras azules.

Luego tejeremos el cactus propiamente y este será el primer modelo que te mostraré hoy.

Una vez realizada la costura con la aguja lanera para dar la forma al cactus, aprovechamos la hebra para coserlo a la maceta.

Once the stitching is done with the wool needle to give the shape to the cactus, we use the thread to sew it to the pot.

Para la decoración haremos una linda flor en color salmón. Empezamos tejiendo un am, luego levantamos 3 cadenas, seguidamente 3 pa, pasamos el gancho desde el primer punto alto y halamos el último punto sobre el ganchillo, después tejemos 3 cadenas y bajamos con 1 pd en el am. Así haremos en total 5 pétalos.

For decoration we will make a pretty flower in salmon color. We start by knitting an am, then we pick up 3 chains, then 3 pa, pass the hook from the first high stitch and pull the last stitch over the crochet hook, then we knit 3 chains and go down with 1 pd in the am. In this way we will make a total of 5 petals.

El segundo modelo es muy particular, este tendrá detalles en color blanco y marrón.

1v: 16 cadenas.
2-25: 15pb-1c-girar-15pb tomando solo la hebra de adelante. Repetir hasta la vuelta 25.
Dejar la hebra larga para cerrar el cactus y coserlo a la maceta.

Tomando el hilo blanco ubicaremos el primer punto o bucle que no trabajamos en la última vuelta. Desde allí tejeremos pb. Al llegar al punto 15 cortar la hebra. Esto lo haremos en todos los bucles que no tejimos de cada vuelta.

Los hilos sobrantes de color blanco los esconderemos hacia el otro lado del tejido para que queden dentro del cactus.

The second model is very particular, this one will have details in white and brown.

1v: 16 strands.
2-25: 15pb-1c-twist-15pb taking only the front strand. Repeat to row 25.
Leave the long strand to close the cactus and sew it to the pot.

Taking the white yarn we will locate the first stitch or loop that we did not work in the last row. From there we will knit bp. When you reach stitch 15 cut the yarn. We will do this in all the loops that we did not knit in each row.

We will hide the white leftover yarns to the other side of the fabric so that they remain inside the cactus.

Corresponde ahora cerrar el tejido para formar el cactus. Con el hilo que dejamos vamos a coser punto por punto desde un lado hasta el otro hasta unir ambos lados. A continuación tomamos el tejido para ruchar e ir cerrando cada uno de los extremos del cactus. Pasamos el hilo desde donde finaliza la vuelta hasta donde inicia tomando solo los bucles externos. Usando la aguja lanera se pasa el hilo y después se hala con cuidado, de esta manera se cierra el tejido. De ser necesario se repite el proceso.

Now it is time to close the fabric to form the cactus. With the thread that we left we are going to sew stitch by stitch from one side to the other until we join both sides. Then we take the fabric to purl and close each of the ends of the cactus. We pass the thread from the end of the round to the beginning of the round, taking only the outer loops. Using the wool needle we pass the thread and then pull it carefully, in this way we close the fabric. If necessary, repeat the process.

Ahora vamos a meter el algodón en el cactus para rellenarlo un poco. Tomamos un trozo de hilo verde y lo ensartamos en la aguja lanera, pasamos por los bucles externos de los puntos del otro lado y halamos el hilo. Hacemos el remate y cortamos la hebra.

El detalle decorativo lo haremos con el hilo marrón bordando un círculo en la parte superior del cactus. Del lado inferior debemos tener la hebra de hilo verde larga para coser a la maceta.

Now we are going to stuff the cotton into the cactus to fill it a little bit. We take a piece of green yarn and thread it onto the knitting needle, pass through the outer loops of the stitches on the other side and pull the yarn through. We make the ending and cut the yarn.

The decorative detail will be made with the brown thread by embroidering a circle on the top of the cactus. On the lower side we must have the long green thread to sew to the pot.

El resultado de ambos proyectos me gusta mucho. Este tipo de creaciones son especiales porque además de ser entretenido es súper relajante, es como si de verdad estuviera trabajando la jardinería, solo que no me ensucio las manos de tierra 😁
