A FUN WEEKEND AT MY FAVOURITE PLACE

I used to work for this travel and tour brand when I was still in school and there was this particular event we organised where I personally had a good time and wished it didn't end. Normally, I love to explore so much and I think that is one of my most favourite things to do, although I have not done a lot of exploration. I was so happy when I got to know the places we would be visiting and the activities that will be done.

The first location we visited was a really popular and beautiful art gallery in Lagos state. I had a really good time there and I made sure the clients does as well. There were amazing pieces there and I wished I were rich because I would have gone home with so much artworks that day. There were different sections that represented our cultures and there were others that brought the past to the present; rooms filled with our history. It was an wholesome experience for me and if not that it was a long time ago, I would have easily gotten the pictures from that outing to share with you all.

Our next location was Lekki Conservation Center where we saw different animals and plants in their natural habitat. Apart from seeing monkeys jump and snakes swimming in swampy areas, there is a more fun activity in this loaction, and that is Canopy walk. This Canopy walk is actually the longest one in the whole of africa, so imagine how the experience must be. We started from the ground floor and progressed gradually and gradually. We reached some really scary heights where we found out we were very far from the ground. It was exciting and scary at the same time, it was just very beautiful.

After we completed the walk, we went to the park to eat and play games. We also got to know each other and for someone that is always shy around people, I socialized pretty well that day. When we left LCC, we went to the beach for a movie night which was an overnight experience. People were many here, because apart from the people that came from the brand I work with, there were other people. It was a collaboration between the tour operators in lagos State.

There was music, food, snacks, bon fire and people having so much fun. I couldn't do too much here because there were a lot of people already and I don't really do well with crowds. There was karaoke session (which I didn't participate in by the way) and different movies were shown until daybreak. I am a nocturnal person so I didnt sleep at all and fortunately for me, I made a friend and we had a lot of conversations till the next morning. Funny enough, we didn't exchange contacts, just names, and that was all.

The view of the beach in the morning was so nice that I almost cried, lol (It was very cold as well). The beach is like my favourite place and I love it so much because it is always therapeutic for me.

This weekend was special to me because it was not like my typical weekends and I had a lot of fun, doing things that makes me feel so alive. In this life, please have fun and always find time to unwind, it is very therapeutic, trust me.
