IT’S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!🎉

I think birthday celebrations are actually very beautiful. The fact that one day out of three hundred and sixty five days is set out to celebrate just you for a whole 24 hours is quite interesting. Before today, I wasn’t really excited about my birthday, I made no plans too. The one I made, I cancelled, and then a lot of things happened after.

As the day drew nearer though, I started getting excited about it (typical me!) I don't think there will ever come a birthday of mine that I won’t feel happy and pumped. My birthday has always been nice since I was little. Even if it was a small celebration, it will still be very beautiful and I appreciate and enjoy every bit of it. Basically, I have grown to love my birthdays every year.

I remember when my mom used to make home made cake on my birthday and my brother’s birthday. Even if it wasn’t decorated with all the coloring icing and designs, we still loved it so so much and appreciated the effort as well. She’ll always make sure we have a great celebration.

Adulthood comes with a lot of overwhelming responsibilities and I know it will not always be as it was when I was 10 or even 15, but I’ll always choose to enjoy my birthdays and be grateful for the added year.

Today again, like every of my past birthday celebrations, I am so happy and excited☺️ I am also very grateful for everything that life has given me. I still have a million questions about life, but to be honest, I’m still glad I’m a part of it.

I’m wishing myself prosperous years ahead filled with lots of good things life has to offer. I pray it gets easier and better as each day passes. I pray to be a better person and improve in all aspects of my life. I pray that God’s mercy and favour never depart from my life. I pray I am always happy and receive the grace or find it in the right places.

I really ought to have written this post since morning, but you know how birthdays can be. I received a lot of love today from a lot of people. I received lots of birthdays wishes from left and right, and needed to respond to them all. I have also been getting calls and I ended up doing a lot of cooking today.

This post is just to wish myself a happy birthday and also inform my hive family that I added a year to my years today. I will drop the full gist of how my birthday went tomorrow, so stay tuned😌.
