THE EFFECTS OF TAKING BUSINESS BREAKS

I don't know if everyone is aware of this, but being an entrepreneur is not all ice-creams and cupcakes and sold-outs everytime. There are real hard times that might arise, and it depends on you to handle it well. You will have to make important decisions about for your brand, and mistakes can cost you a lot. We see really big brands fold up, not to talk of small businesses; The business world is actually no joke.

You are in a race and at the same time, you just have to look at and look out for yourself. The moment you get weak and decide to take small break, so many people have moved past you. You will have to gather your strength all over again and get back on track. The race is very competitive and a lot of people are doing what you do, which means your customers have numerous options, except the ones that personally decide to stick with your brand no matter what.

A lot happened to me in the past few months and I had to take a break from business. Not entirely though, because I was still running it and doing my thing offline, I just wasn't poating online. I totally lost the vibe in being present online, in any way at all. I just finished school as well and went back home, I had a lot of decisions to make about my life and it was overwhelming at a point. Changing locations was a lot for me to handle as well, imagine having a customer base somewhere and moving away from there. Yeah...

I just felt like I needed that break and I took it, but it is very funny that I was missing being active online and putting my business out there. I kind of felt incomplete without it and it felt as if my life wasn't in order. I had to get back online, but I kept overthing it, thereby stalling. I'll tell myself I would post the next day, and the next day, and the next day. I had to speak to a friend who later encouraged me so much that I quit overthinking it. I did a little speech and posted it on my whatsapp status, a kind of upsate or announcement, I guess. I felt it was needed since I was away for a while.

So far, I have been posting my goods and I can say that I am fully back online. However, my views seemed to have dropped due to my long absence and I am really hoping my customers haven't been snatched by another vendor who was more consistent than me. Well, I will go all out this time around and I do not think I will be taking any silly break moving forward. Hopefully, I get my audience back and a lot more people get to see the perfumes I have for sale. Also, I do hope sales get much better.
