Those twisty stakes are very interesting. Do the vines grip well on their own, or do they slide off without ties to help?

I'd love to know how well they work also...
I replied to @creativetruth how they work and they work very well for the cucumbers. I sometimes put some netting in between the poles if I have more cucumbers then poles and that works well too.
I use them for the cucumbers and they put out tendrils that attach to the bar plus the curves give the plants some support when they don't have tendrils yet.
