It all started as a rainy day.

Well, to be more honest, it started almost 10 years ago. Laura, the wedding girl, and I have been friends since high school, but a few months ago, when I really didn't expect it, she told me: "Cris, I'm getting married and I want you to be the one to take my wedding pictures".

When it's your own friends who call you for these tasks, on the one hand you feel very calm and on the other hand, in equal parts, extremely proud and motivated.

Together we started brainstorming locations, although I, already knowing the changing conditions of my Cuban climate, was a bit uneasy. The day before, to be more precise, it had rained heavily and was forecast to continue raining for the next few days. That's how the day started, raining, but by that time we were already moving towards the place where we would start, to say it in a very romantic way, to capture that special moment using the light.

Today I present to you, with the couple's permission, part of what we did together: Laura, Carlos, Laura's husband and I. Together with Carlos' mother. This story is just beginning; in future blogs I will finish it and show more.

Todo empezó como un día lluvioso.

Bueno, para ser más sincero, comenzó hace casi 10 años. Laura, la chica de la boda, y yo somos amigos desde la preparatoria, pero hace pocos meses, cuando realmente no me lo esperaba, me dijo: "Cris, me voy a casar y quiero que seas tú quien haga las fotos de mi boda".

Cuando son tus propios amigos quienes te llaman para estas labores, por una parte te sientes muy tranquilo y, por otra, a partes iguales, sumamente orgulloso y motivado.

Juntos empezamos a idear lugares, aunque yo, sabiendo ya las condiciones cambiantes de mi clima cubano, estaba un poco intranquilo. El día antes, para ser más exactos, había llovido en grandes proporciones y estaba pronosticado que seguiría lloviendo en los días siguientes. Así comenzó el día, lloviendo, pero ya para ese momento nos estábamos desplazando hacia el lugar donde empezaríamos, por decirlo de una forma muy romántica, a capturar ese momento especial utilizando la luz.

Hoy les presento, con permiso de la pareja, parte de lo que hicimos juntos: Laura, Carlos, el esposo de Laura y yo. Junto a la madre de Carlos. Esta historia solo está comenzando; en futuros blogs la terminaré y mostraré más.
