Hello, Hive friends.
This time, I’m bringing you a live look at the video game Aniimo—a title poised to challenge Pokémon and potentially dethrone it as the leading creature-collection game.
As you can see, Aniimo is currently among the top 10 most-played games on Steam, according to SteamDB.

Alright, let's get started.
First things first, we need to create our main character—the one we’ll control throughout our journey. We have to choose their appearance in the character editor, as shown in the image below.

After creating the character, the camera shifts to a perspective that looks like a recording device filming our character. We are also introduced to a new character named Nicole; she will accompany us for a significant part of the story and teach us the basic moves, how to capture our first Aniimo, and the lore of the game's setting.
After a while, we arrived at a cave containing images like the one below, which tell more of the story behind the Aniimo.

Deep inside the cave, we discovered a mural where the walls began to glow, revealing the figures of two legendary Aniimo. These two Aniimo appeared before us—though not yet fully evolved—named Helion and Lunara; however, they were no ordinary Aniimo, as they could speak. They asked us to choose one of the two, and this time, I chose Lunara.
Shortly after that, we are introduced to a sort of "icosagon" (like a 20-sided die), but this object summons a powerful and evil Aniimo.

After defeating the first phase of this evil Aniimo, an even more powerful one is summoned; however, we aren't alone, as one of the area's protectors arrives. That is when everyone begins to merge into a form called Twine, and Lunara asks me to touch her as well to join the fusion. Once the Aniimo is defeated, we return to the main base, where we meet Director Oswen of the institute.
After a while, we are asked to visit Dr. Lewis, who explains more game mechanics to us—such as the fact that we can only carry four "Animos" at a time and that every time we capture one, we place it in the Research Console to obtain resources.

Dr. Lewis asks us to head toward a plant that looks like a giant dandelion. Along the way, we have to use our Animo powers—transforming into the creatures themselves—to swim, glide, fly, and perform other necessary actions.
We even come across a shrine that strongly reminded me of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, as we have to navigate through it by completing various "challenges." The first one was quite easy.

And so, that’s where my stream ended.
Below, I’ve listed what I liked and what I didn’t like about this stream, which lasted nearly an hour.
What I liked.
- I enjoyed the overall game experience.
- I liked the idea of a game featuring new creatures to collect.
- I had mixed feelings about the option to transform into an Aniimo; while it allows you to use the Aniimos' abilities, I also thinks that it was too exaggerated and nonsensical way of giving you the powers of the Aniimo.
What I didn't like.
- I didn't like that it feels like such a typical Unreal Engine 5 game.
- I didn't like the voice acting; I don't think it's AI-generated, but the voices feel very generic—like things I've heard somewhere else before.
- The story didn't really grab me; at one point, I just wanted to skip all the cutscenes because I wasn't that interested, but since I was streaming, I wanted to show them too.
Thank you for reading, see yah next time.

Hola amigos Hive.

Bueno, vamos a empezar.

Okay, this really caught my attention. There was a lot of controversy surrounding PAlworld. I haven't played it yet, but apparently it was a blatant copy of Pokémon and it attracted quite a few people, though of course it can't dethrone it or anything like that, and honestly, I wouldn't buy it unless it's on a really good sale.
Now, I've started downloading Aniimo after reading your whole post and seeing that it's free. Let's see how it is, so I'll play it and then I'll give you my opinion. Thanks for sharing it, I didn't know about it.
I've always been a huge fan of the Pokémon series, and I'm curious to see how this game is and how long it lasts.
With the actual state of Pokemon, is no suprise more and more games would like to "de-throne" it. However, I am looking forward to look into the new Pokemon game that is no longer a turn-based battle but an realtime battle system
Well, is a good point, and with the exclusive games Nintendo reduce their possibilities to scale to new players. By the way i' download Aniimo soon i make a post talking about it. I don't try yest, i hope can try this night. Thanks for show the game and sorry for delayed reply.
