Six birthday of my niece; Huntrix theme.

My niece—lets call her "Yan," short for Arriane—is turned six. Her birthday was actually back on September 19, and I decided to post about the day's events here on Hive, since I also wrote about her birthday here last year. :)

The theme of her birthday was Demon Slayer (or Huntrix), one of the most popular shows among kids these days; they love it because the characters are superheroes who use their voices to fight monsters. I wasn't really familiar with it myself —i only learned about it through her, hehe—since my other nieces and her friends like it, too.

We went to their place early because her mom asked for my help putting up decorations and setting up the tables and chairs, given the limited space at the venue. So, here is the decor—it's quite simple, but her mom carefully selected and bought everything herself because it was exactly what she wanted.

Her cake is costumized and lootbags were also Huntrix-themed; her mother really put in the effort to make her unica ija happy.

They ordered a birthday food set for 3,900 in peso (or $62.40). It included fried chicken, Maja Blanca, spaghetti, pancit, valenciana, and kutsinta with pitchi-pitchi in the center.

What I liked the most were the Maja Blanca and the spaghetti because they were truly creamy, and they didn't skimp on the cheese, hehe. But all the foods is masarap. 😋

Her dad added mored dishes and cooked dinuguan, adobo, and chicken curry so that those eating rice would have a viand to go with it, since what they had originally ordered was only suitable for an afternoon snack.

He also cooked patutin (Muscovy duck) the duck we had given them, as well as a whole chicken with lemongrass—which her grandmother had also provided. Actually, her father started the preparations early, so everything was finished ahead of time, given that the birthday celebration was set to begin at 3:00 PM.

Everything was all set—the food (hotdogs, lollipops, and loot bags) was laid out on the table, along with three cakes (two of which were gifts from his uncle and grandfather). And while waiting for the guests, we naturally took lots of photos together.

This was the moment her cousins and friends sang "Happy birthday" to her. Not all the guests had arrived yet because it was raining, causing some delays. I could see she was happy because all her cousins, classmates, and friends were there. After the meal, she played with her friends. We also give her gifts and cash. my sister and I, along with some of her friends' mothers and our family. I can truly say it was a happy celebration! Even into the night, some of the guests stayed to have drinks, sing karaoke, and even dance—hahaha.

It was a simple birthday celebration, yet it was filled with love and support from her family. Her parents also showed just how much they adore their only child. 🥰🤍
