Almost too much proof
π Information on free use
When for some fateful reason we receive a positive diagnosis indicating a disease, the correct thing to do is to repeat the test in two or three different laboratories, and not to go to the extreme of having too many tests, since three is more than enough to be confident in the result.
It is known that no diagnostic test has a sensitivity and specificity of one hundred percent, and considering that human error exists, the opinion of other laboratory experts cannot be ruled out.
A positive test in almost all patients with any disease, demands the behavior of anguish of who receives the result, and in this denial also chooses to go to another laboratory in the hope of a negative result.
