I keep a nice memory with typewriter ribbons, when I went to high school a friend of my father gave me a typewriter that I started to use in my golden years, if golden were until today the most beautiful days of my life.
And precisely those golden and most beautiful days of my life, the typewriter date had a fundamental role, for the youngest the ribbons for typewriters are the inked strips that are used to give colour to the letters when working with manual typewriters.
In practical orientations the segments of ribbons with colour what they do is to pass the ink to the paper once the key of the machine is pressed, nowadays they have very little use since the protagonism the computers and the sophisticated digital printers.
