2021 Top Brands That Boomed
Last year was the year of certain established companies increasing their overall brand values whilst the economies around the world suffered major setbacks. Many of these companies are interlinked riding the success of others through supply or via services. Covid and lockdowns has seen many companies hit the wall or shrink by forced downsizing, yet certain sectors boomed.
E-commerce with lockdowns placed retailers and the high street into our homes changing the way the general public purchase items. The worlds top 100 brands grew by a combined 40% topping $7 trillion.
When one starts to delve into the movers and shakers retail is the one that stands out with the companies that had the tech to support their business needs.
Amazon was the biggest mover which is not a shock as they are not just retail and have their cloud and subscription services to back their business up.
Looking at the top 10 businesses like Visa and Mastercard they stagnated which is the part I find surprising as many of these purchases that made retail boom was done online. Then again the everyday purchases we do anyway are with those same cards so they are not evolving, but remaining constant. Whether we walk through the doors or click the keys we are still using the same cards. One exception was PAYPAL who grew their value by 66%.
Retail with brands like Luis Vuitton, Gucci among an elite group and what one would have thought were high end products all benefitted.
With online ecommerce benefiting not only high end brands the delivery /logistics firms also saw an uptrend in business that a high percentage would have been bought in store.
Businesses take years to grow and brands take even longer to gain the trust of consumers through providing services we expect. For a company like Adidas to double it's value within a 12 month period is not something that would normally happen. Marketing has played a huge role in all of these brands performing like they have and has taken years of being in your face day in and day out.
There is one high flying brand that is climbing faster than anyone else these days and even though they are not in the top 10 they soon will be. One company grew it's value by over 270% and that was Tesla which at that rate will be in the top 10 within 24 months.

I believe this set of brands that are listed here have been consistent and have been at the top of their game in the last couple of years. It's won't be a surprise if they are not affected by economic meltdown.
Yes Amazon was the top for the last 3 years but with the move to ecommerce by online shoppers certain brands have benefitted plus delivery firms creating a ripple effect within the top 100 world wide brands.

This brands have been top notch over time and I believe they will still progress more with better development to their project
My wife and I still try to support local businesses especially given how things are going with Covid and many of them having to shut down. We have done our fair share of online shopping though. Probably more so than we used to.
