Changes Happening All Over This week

Best thing for his career as he was not being treated fairly by the team this season. His race strategy was somewhat different compared to the owners son. He has had two races that compromised him badly and it made sure he finished behind Lance.

As teams are heading off to Mugello which will mark Ferrari's 1000'th Grand Prix teams have been busy with personnel changes. Basically at the half way mark of the season and with only 3 months left before we finish off in December announcements should start happening regularly from here on in.

I mentioned Simon Roberts as a potential replacement fro Claire Williams who stepped down on Sunday from the Williams Racing set up. Simon Who has been with Williams for the last 3 months will have inside knowledge valuable to the new owners.Previously he had been with McLaren for 17 years and a short spell with Force India.

We all know when you are in a mess nothing is clear anymore and fresh eyes often help. The last 3 months has been nothing more than a fact finding mission for the new owners who clearly didn't buy the team with blindfolds on. Simon was clearly their inside man passing on much needed information. With this knowledge it was not a surprise that the Williams family were kicked out the door far earlier than expected.

I have said the problem with Williams Racing is the way it is run by the family and making any changes while they were still there would be impossible. Not only that but it would be rather awkward as you would be showing them up on how badly things were being done. I have been in a similar position in the past and the only way to make changes is removing the problem immediately as it sends a clear signal to employees who is now in charge.

This move will highlight even more on how badly he was treated at Ferrari. I am sure they were hoping he would retire and now he can show them up and rub it in their faces on track next season.

Another big announcement was that Sebastien Vettel has been given Sergio Perez's seat at Aston Martin Racing next season. This deal was done months ago but due to contract negotiations on Perez's end it couldn't be announced. This now means there are two decent drivers looking for limited driving spots next season.

Aston Martin with Vettel in the team will be challenging for podium spots making the racing far more competitive than what we have seen over the last few seasons. Being a 4 time World Champion in a sub standard car with Ferrari must have been highly frustrating. Vettel is a perfectionist and will bring far more to the team than just driving skills as he will help make the car a winning car over a short period of time.

Alex Albon who has not had a good season at Red Bull will at some point soon be released and expect Hulkenberg or Perez to take his spot. My money is on the German going to Red Bull and the Mexican going to Williams. Perez has some big financial backers and offers a lot more experience and monetary value than the current William drivers do.

it looks like we are in for another enjoyable weekend as the pressure is on for many drivers to start performing. Looking at the various teams and drivers coming in from other championships with their newly acquired super licences then we could be talking about 6 or 7 drivers under pressure.
