Funny to think back to 4 years ago I had no idea when I joined Hive it would end up being life changing on so many levels. I think everyone wants financial freedom at some point and had no idea that something as different as Hive could be one of the solutions.

I have read up on how the rich have gathered their wealth and it involves in most cases many revenue streams. They talk about 7 types as this reduces pressure on relying on one or two streams.

Lately everything I have been doing has ended up as another revenue stream which wasn't the intention when I first started out. It doesn't matter how big or small they are as everything once pooled adds up to a tidy sum. The more you have the better it is and if one dries up it is not a disaster.

Just by being on Hive there are a number of revenue streams in our eco system which has turned out to be a serious printer of wealth. Obviously the more you have into each project the more you will eventually make which is pretty neat.

Financial freedom can mean many things to everyone as their goals and ideas may differ from your own. Personally I want to be debt free and not to have to worry about monthly bills in any shape or form. This all depends on where you live in the world as the cost of living varies massively.

On Hive we have the normal curation plus interest on your staked account (3% APR) and now HBD in savings generating 12%. There is talk it may move to 20% in the future and if that does it suddenly becomes a serious earner. HBD is a revenue stream all on it's own and one that should be stable.

This changes things in the way I have been thinking as selling Hive at $5, $10 or $15 doesn't make sense anymore. We may have to wait a while for these prices however, but surely this is worth the wait. Converting Hive over into HBD does though especially at those prices. Having 100 000 HBD would give you a return of 12 000 HBD per annum or 1000 HBD/USD per month. All it would take is 10 000 Hive at $10 or 20 000 Hive at $5 to achieve this which is suddenly not asking for a miracle or that far stretched. The $1000 monthly could be used to buy back Hive as the price drops in the Bear market.

Staking has taken on a whole new level with what is being offered in crypto today and it is not just from the likes of DEFI. This for me is the long game as compounding takes years to take hold and to realise the true benefits. I have checked on the compounding calculators that 5 years should be a minimum period as from the 6th year everything basically starts doubling.

Having a safe haven within our eco system like HBD is seriously important and cannot be underestimated how big this is. Come the end of the Bull cycle we have options to convert Hive without ever having to leave the blockchain so we keep our gains safely secured. This for me is important as selling Hive was not really something I wanted to do and this has allowed me to keep it all in the same wallet.
